I doubt anyone will see this, but this song always reminds me of when I broke up with my boyfriend about 2-3 years ago and it hurts my heart to think that I made him feel this way, I was on the other side of the boat with this song, I broke up with him because I thought we didn’t belong together but I still wanted to be friends, I soon realized I was kidding myself by pretending like we could just be friends and we ended up getting back together and now we are happily married. Just wanted to post this to give anyone hope that is going through this. Sometimes the person you love is just confused and needs time to think things through and realize that you are the one for them, so be patient for as long as you can, but don’t wait around forever. If you belong together, you will end up together in the end. Good luck to everyone going through this, everything will work out for you I promise

She didn't want to get married yet and broke the engagement. That is the first time i see how broken a man can get because of women. He fell into depression, didnt come to work for weeks, and worse, he even thinks of suicide. The man was once so cheerful, kept laughing and became so quiet, so gloomy. I think it all has to do with time. For the first few months its hard, heart breaking to imagine your ex with another person, but I feel after s certain while it's not as hard. I was with my husband for 11years, we have two beautiful babies together, an 8yo & 5yo. I spend half my life with 1 who I really thought I knew more than myself he came after a life of serious pain abuse, neglect, only on our wedding night did I know he's demons, I stayed knowing I should leave but I av a serious problem on giving up on ppl no matter the pain, and this songs sums some of it up, I'm sorry if your hurting apparently we av to b selfish spoilt women to get a decent 1 hard to do when all I can do is care and forgive and want to help. My ex fiance and I lived together for 6 years. I found out she had been cheating on me, we broke up but still lived together for a couple of months until our lease ended and tried to be friends even after and for awhile it seemed like we might even get back together. I never lost it emotionally until we had this exact conversation. We had just had a great weekend together, sitting on her balcony when she started telling me she wanted me to be happy, start seeing other women, even talked about me moving far away and I lost it. I couldn't even stand to be there, I had to leave. I drove for about an hour and this song came on the radio, first time I had heard it. I had to pull over I was so upset. It's been a few months and I'm doing great but every single time I hear this song, I lose it. I know everyone has had songs they can relate to but this might be the only song where every damn word is exactly what happened. As much as it kills me to listen to it, I love it. I love this song. Shanna Calvert, I am doing much better now. I've been through a lot since this happened and it's made me a stronger, better person. This song still gets me, not as much as it used to. I still listen to and still think of her every time but now it's for different reasons. Before I thought my world was over, I didn't think I was going to be able to go on. Now I look back and see it was never meant to be. I'm thankful for the lessons learned but I'll never be that man again. The man that let her walk all over me and let her use me and come back begging for more. Now when I hear this song I wonder more about why I let it go on for so long as opposed to why she never loved me. It makes me stronger to hear it, not weaker.
