I too lived the song for many of years as I waited for the love of my life to come home to me, my arms my love and my lips. At 54321 really kicks your butt. I tried for many of years to celebrate light a candle, dance alone to our favorite song, as tears graced my cheeks. I missed you more than I can ever express. Well done Brett Young. On or should I say from Thanksgiving 2018 through New Year 2019 after 11 years of a somewhat whirlwind up & down relationship.... my love of my life was struggling with how to tell her man(me) she had fallen outta love with him. I still feel so much empathy for her walking away with all the pain of losing her best friend for life. (I wish she had processed her emotions & had given this guy his closure .... I thought I would never get over this amazing woman & the toughest part for me wasn’t being alone .... it was knowing that I would never be able to turn to my best friend for life again for anything. I was not the same person after this for a really long time & it took me allowing myself to bleed out completely to finally love myself again. What I learned was that when you are healed from the pain of your heartbreak .... I will never allow my deserving credit to my loyalty respect & love for myself be hijacked ever again. Thanks PJA for giving men back to me again.

Another hit! Love your songs. All of them. I relate to them cause I too was in love, crazy love, with a woman and she broke my heart. I was so hurt, just broken. The first 6 months were so hard. Trying to get through everyday, work and raising my kids, I'm a single dad with custody. I couldn't just give up and stay in bed all day depressed cause I had 2 daughters who needed their dad. Its been a year and a half now and I'm still hurt but I've learned to live life happy and focus on the future. Ill forever love her and pray she'll come back one day but I haven't dated since. I'm so lonely, especially at night when the kids go to bed. I just don't have the strength to start a relationship again. Not ready for that pain again. Thank God for my kids. Only he knows what would've happened if I was single with nobody after our breakup. Thanks Brett.
