Sebastián Avendaño most definitely, cranked amp breaking up with a shit load of reverb and this fuzz would get you a nice shoegaze sound

Good demo. Just got mine.;) Love my Hoof, but this one is something special. Anything that can put a full beard on a pair of vintage '59 Danelectro lipsticks works for me. Same goes for Valco and DeArmonds. Not bad with humbuckers either.;D

Some people like to keep the sound signature of the pedal, a little gain from it if necessary, for a less heavy sound without having to change the settings on the pedal itself.

Usually it's good for getting lower gain tones. Fuzz Faces are very commonly set at max gain, which pretty much puts it's entire gain range at the control of the volume knob. Also sometimes walking around on stage makes it harder to hit the button when you want, so a quick fix could be to roll the volume knob down.

Doug Cassidy It is said there was a time when guitarists used volume knobs to obtain various different sounds from their guitars. Jimi Beck, Jeff Hendrix, David Clapton and Eric Gilmour; they all used this ancient technique.
