Palm stutter technique at 5:47. Worth the price of admission alone. Great demo, Andy.

+Jeffrey Fuentes I've never seen it done before this video, Jeff, so that's a question probably best directed to Andy. I will, however, be giving it my best shot when I fire up the studio later today. Rock!

+Brett Kingman that one is going straight into the 'stolen guitar techniques and licks'- part of my brain. Looks like something very usable with tonnes of gain.

+Brett Kingman Thanks Brett, I want to say that's something I heard on Live at Leeds. It really only works on 'spongy' pedals because the signal seems to bounce back at you full strength :)

+ProGuitarShopDemos You've made it a real thing, Andy. There will be thousands of players out there including yours truly giving it a shot with a big smile on their respective faces today. And that's something very cool indeed. Thank you.

ODE TO CLARISSA . QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE. That's one of my favourite songs!!! I was so surprised when I heard the drums at the beginning. Whoever hasnt heard it. listen. NOW!

I enjoy the way PGS Andy, has presented a cornucopia of different pedals, over the last 7 ysars to suit the styles of his followers. Doesnt matter if you are into classic rock, blues grind metal or modern progressive jazz or country, over the years he has played literally hundreds.Thankyou for that great resource. a player may not need to get evey pedal, just the right ones for his playjng style.

CLARISSAAAAA!!! Andy, your song choices are stellar, please never ever stop. And more QOTSA and Deerhoof please!
@brentmacdonald48918 жыл бұрын
The problem with Andy's demos is actually how great his ear for tone is. His demos sound awesome, bc he could take a tin can with a basic fuzz circuit nailed to it, & make it sound amazing. That makes his videos awesome, but you have to shop around other demos to see if a pedal is actually THAT good or not. I've heard him make a pedal sound incredible, but every other demo of it sounds like crap. It's a good thing he doesn't demo cheap crappy stuff, so at least if he's using it you know it's probably decent quality. But beginners may have trouble imitating his tones with the same gear. Great salesman though, to make everything he uses sound so awesome :-)

Once upon a time I had a really old Ampeg amp that was easy to overdrive. Some of this pedal's settings remind me of the super-compressed fuzz I got out of that amp when I pushed it to the limits. Yea, that amp died a horrible death. So it's nice to know there's a pedal out there that can reasonably get that tone, with a significantly lowered risk of blowing things up.

+Robert Evans Unlikely on both counts I'm afraid! The GC is a DOD 250, the ZM is a Tonebender MkI derivative (and absolutely wonderful). The ZM was built using a specially suitable set of transistors they only had a small and finite supply of: according to EQD they did try others too but weren't happy with the results. Too bad! It's a wonderful fuzzbox.
