BEST RAPPER ALIVE basically they would be very likely to win the Superbowl, most likely the best offense in the the league(it was 8th best in NFL HISTORY in yards with Shanahan) and also a youthful defense that was 9th best in the league this year(I think)... which would make us I would guess a 14-2 or 15-1 team, all playoff teams in the NFC would move down a spot(Eagles at 2, Vikings 3, Rams 4, Saints 5, Panthers 6), Vikings would win against the Panthers, Saints would win against the Rams, Falcons would beat the Saints in the divisional round and the Vikings would(probably) beat the Eagles. Falcons would beat the Vikings in the NFC championship, and Superbowl would either be a rematch of last year or be Falcons vs Jaguars, I'll let you decide how those matches would go

Aaron Barragan they extended his contract. He runs a college style offense all finesse. Very frustrating to watch. Seemed to me that he doesn't know how to use his weapons and very vanilla offense. Glad my Niners have Shannanhan.

bryce newton the thing about Jones is he is open even when he is covered. There style of offense is similar to Cowboys, don't know how to utilize and scheme their guys opens. Look at what Niners are doing with half the damn talent. It was mind boggling and maybe should go back to college because some of those calls where designed for college defenses where you can get away with. In the NFL everyone is running the same speed and quicker reaction times as well.

the thing is that julio never was a td machine (these are his td numbers per season 8, 10, 2, 6, 8, 6, 3) 3 is low even for him, he is great but his gifts always translated more into yards and receptions rather than tds.

They're paying them to throw games at the right moment. You ever wonder why that great high school coach in your state never got a shot? The NFL knows he is a stand up person and would not ever throw a game for any reason because he loves football. You notice the guys coaching these days don't really seem to even enjoy it, much less love it? Read between the lines, folks.

That play at 8:22 is Sluggo Seam, the classic west coast play everyone runs. The idea is to pump the sluggo to try and influence the safety towards that side so you can come back to the seam read. You can see Ryan give a token shoulder fake that way. I wouldn't say it's a play design issue; it's a Bill Walsh play. I think Ryan needs to give a better pump fake, look off the safety and deliver the ball quicker. But I could be wrong, maybe Four Verts or similar is the call here. good article on the play that mentions that where Sarkisian learned it: grantland.com/the-triangle/matt-barkley-and-uscs-sluggo-seam-play/
@BrettKollmann
@BrettKollmann 7 жыл бұрын
Oh I know it's a play that has been around forever, I just don't like how it's designed. I'm a firm believer in occupying both seams in order to occupy the safety if you want to attack the seams. Without occupying both seams you have to basically hope that the safety screws up, but if you occupy both seams you can FORCE him to screw up. That's the difference.
@louisxyz1
@louisxyz1 7 жыл бұрын
It's a fairpoint. Maybe not a play suited to them modern breed of free safeties
@CravonMoorehead
@CravonMoorehead 6 жыл бұрын
There still has to be somebody to influence the other seam. But I understand your point. It did also look like Sanu was hesitant to reach out for the ball. He def felt the safety over top and knew a hit was coming. He could've turned inside more at the top of his route tho

As a long suffering falcon fan, I was flabbergasted at the difference in Sark's calls between the ram's game and the debacle in Philly. After watching this, another in a long line of awesome breakdowns you do(Best there is), I wanted Sark gone. That was then, this is now. Sark has redeemed himself. He has the falcon offense rolling.His gameplan against a stout redskin defense was masterful. Looking back, although Sark deserved blame too, a lot of the falcon's 2017 woes on offense was sloppy execution. Dropped passes, missed blocks, miss reads, etc. Glad Quinn didn't listen to me and the rest of falcon nation ready to lynch Sark.

That seam looks like a possible read route and the receiver seems to float into the end zone rather than sit down at the five or sit and slide inside the LB underneath....if he did so, it might be a TD or a 1st and goal on the 3-6 yard line....on that level, those seam routes are rarely routes that have the receiver running to get himself covered. If you do not have mesh routes(the rubs you describe) most teams did not try to install that type of stuff so late in the season...Great vid. Always good talking football.

Good Analysis. Two questions: One, do you think the weather had anything to do with the lack of a quick game? 20-25mph winds that day. I would imagine slants are dangerous if you can't be precise with the throws. Totally agree on the lack of rub routes. Two, do you think they were reluctant to go four wide because of the Eagles pass rush?

brett big fan of your channel.. question tho.. something to think about on ur issue with the slug-go seam concept in the read zone... i think the coach was betting on the eagles being over aggressive like they normally but in that situation they stated home and played good defense... they set the bait by putting julio back side and made him the first read with the double move hoping to pull that free safety towards julio to hit sanu in the deep seam but they stated home... i think this is a case of great d instead of bad play call... he probably could have ran more rub concepts.. love the channel

Hell, Sark wasn't doing good. Never this season could you honestly say the Falcons out coached another team. The Falcons won on pure talent in spite of bad coaching. You don't know football if you can't see that. The defense was much better in the second half of the season. That's why they won the games they won for the most part. The offense never improved, as evidenced by the latest season ending sorry game plan. 10 points by that offense in a playoff game? Come on! Show a little creativity.

Watch the highlight, he was doing good Playcalling yet Ryan kept forcing the ball to the receiver closest to him, that's not.on Sark

TheBeastAmongUs did you not watch this guy's video? Where do you disagree with it? He got it right. The Falcons were a Superbowl team last year. What changed? The defense got better. The kicker is automatic. The entire offense didn't suddenly suck. The MVP quarterback didn't forget how to play. The thing that changed is the OC. They went from imaginative plays and game plans that actually took the opponent's tendencies into consideration to this basic college shit. Yes, it is mostly the fault of the OC. There were some drops, shure. Matt Ryan had to force some balls because the unimaginative play designs weren't getting receivers open. It was too easy to defend that basic offense. Watch the video again. Receivers that were open last year by design were simply not open this year. The offense was just too basic.

Yep. I'd say off the top of my head Steelers, Falcons, Cowboys--it's the coaching, the poor game planning & play-calling/design. The Steelers especially on defense (gashed by Bortles, enough said), Falcons/Dallas mainly on offense: ZERO adjustments, pure predictability--the talent on the field can't overcome that. Brett nailed this one.

at least falcons and steelers made playoffs - the cowboys coaching staff is truly awful to ruin a team as talented as they are.

As a Falcons fan I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said...sadly they did the same thing week 1 to start the season. Sark has to go, his inability to create a viable gameplan is inexcusable!!!

As a Falcons fan, I don't want Sark on this team at all if he's going to lead Matt Ryan and this talented offense to its doom. I don't mind Dan Quinn because he's more defensive minded anyway and has helped out our defense a tremendous amount this season compared to last season but my god after seeing this video, if Sark doesn't get into his head that he needs to change his offensive play calls and his game plans up and actually maybe watch some damn good tape, then he needs to just leave the NFL.

Vikings fan here, I feel yea man. Vikings have devastating missed field goals, interceptions, and penalties that have cost them going to the super bowl. BUT THAT WAS AMAZING for me last Sunday.

Love your posts! I’m a lifelong Viking fan and I’m so disappointed in how they didn’t show up in the NFC Championship. It was embarrassing to see their coverage and lack of tackling. But in my opinion here’s the play that changed the game into a blow out. ‪Vikings are only down 14-7 and are inside the red zone on the Eagles 16 with 3:25 left in the first half. It’s 3rd & 5 and we call a play that requires our BACK UP Tight End to run across the formation and pass block the Eagles Right Defensive End with no help. The o line slides right so on the third down in the red zone and on a critical play the Vikings ask their back up tight end block the blind side on third down? Coming from across the formation. Are you kidding me? Shurmur has been so terrific all the season but that scheme and play shouldn’t have been been in anyone’s playbook. Let alone in the nfc championship vs the best pass rush in the nfl. The Result was A missed block and a blind side hit on Case and a fumble. That play opened the flood gates. Not saying it made the difference but it certainly set the tone and changed the course of the game.

Chris Kusnell I agree that was a huge let down play on the defensive side. The game was close and then in that last 3:25 the wheels fell off with those two plays being two of the major turning points. Vikings looked liked a popped balloon after that.
