I have to say, this has been a revelation for me. I'd never had any back/spine/neck problems in my life until an accident last year. Since then I have had a constant twinge (or constant fear of a twinge) in my lower back, particularly when exercising. After about 5-6 days of doing this sequence every morning, my back is so much better. It's not perfect (I'm 44 so probably never will be again now!), but so much better, and enough that it's freed me from the anxiety of hurting it again while lifting weights. Great stuff, thanks.

That was perfect. I'm so tight, as I'm all about lifting weights in the sport of Body Building. I am too lazy to stretch in the past. BrettLarkinYoga It was my pleasure, Brett!!! Thanks SO MUCH for acknowledging my comment!!! I discovered your KZbin Channel and you, for that matter, via an interview you did on one of the podcasts - I don’t recall which podcast exactly it was as I listen to SO MANY different ones. Your yoga practicing style, your personality just spoke to me and I felt connected to you instantly. I’ve always had a hard time with motivating myself to practice yoga or any other rejuvenating routines on my own, by following the instructions via a KZbin video or DVDs, but I felt an instant connection with you, Brett! My goal this year is to get back to practicing yoga on a regular basis, Ike I used to a few years back, as I realize now that strenuous exercise needs to be accompanied by flexibility and stretching that yoga offers. Unlike with any other videos or instructional DVDs, I’m actually excited to check out different ones you have on your channel and can’t wait to try many of them. I’ve been also spreading the goodness by sharing your name & KZbin channel with my friends, whom I’m strongly encouraging to try yoga. I can honestly say that I consider you to be my go-to yoga instructor from now forward. You made me believe that it’s possible and totally doable to practice yoga at home with enjoyment. This was a little more advanced than other morning sequences on KZbin. Definitely a good stretch and wake up. I'm going to give this one another shot when I'm not so stiff and have been practicing more in the morning.

As a beginner with poor flexbility, I felt so much better after doing this routine. Thank you! Any suggestions on improving my flexibilty? I can't even touch my toes, too much weights.

I loved this!! It was the perfect level of stretch for me as someone whose trying to get back into yoga so I still have some flexibility but definitely still needimg something light to work in the morning.

I've dedicated the first moments of my morning to some movement for my body and a short meditation. I don't have a lot of time but this sequence is perfect for waking my body up and truly helps improve my day. I've been doing this one and the 15 minute one for Greatist for two weeks now and am really enjoying it. Thank you! Now off to meditate....
