You are the kind of person I hope is successful in whatever you choose to do, you deserve it. Not only are you a gifted musician, but you graciously share that gift with others in a very unpretentious and straightforward way. Thanks for doing this, I've learned a lot from your teaching style and your ability to make very complex ideas attainable to average musicians. Cheers to you Papastache!

Love the way that you break down how you discovered the full neck "language" of the scales, I think this discovery is a breakthrough in every guitar player's journey. Once this moment happens, a door opens and everything is so clear. This video really makes me happy because I can remember the exact moment where I had this epiphany, funny thing was I was playing a Hendrix song! Thank you.

Please thank your mom for me. Your "light bulb", and your gift in teaching, has also illuminated the questions I didn't know, even to ask, and now I can finally, (after many many years of knowing the 5 positions, but not knowing how to incorporate them intelligently), begin a new chapter in having fun with my guitar. "You da bestest Brett!!! " (and thanks to my friend Dave, (RIP), who years ago took the time out to show the positions to me.... (it makes following your tutorials so much easier.) Omaha, Omaha, light bulb, light bulb....

This is great stuff Papastache. I've been playing the major pentatonic a lot lately. I most always play minor. Playing major helps me identify notes in a different way. It also helps to inspire new riffs, because major is a totally different "happier" groove.

Seriously some of the best guitar instruction on You Tube! I'm happy to buy some of your DVD's just because of the amount of quality free lesson you give but wanted to see if you have a downloadable version. I'm at the point in my technology that I don't want any more physical disks. Perhaps you have a paid site where you can access the lesson's you have on DVD's? I like the way guitar tricks.com formats their access but like your teaching style and information much better.
