I have a Niambi deck and I love it. My friends always complain that I only bring planeswalker commanders, so when they tell me I need a creature commander I just bring Niambi. Don't sleep on flicker Niambi, and don't forget a copy of Pull from Eternity just incase your opponents exile Teferi

Teferi's Moat for the Niambi Deck. Not so much because it protects you from grounded creatures, but because the very concept that Teferi, Master of Time decided the best way to protect himself from enemies is to dig a moat is frickin HILARIOUS.

This has become my favorite mtg channel. I got inspired to build mono white which is way out of my playstyle. I ended up going with eight-and-a-half-tails but this video was helpful as I have michiko in the 99. Awesome work on these videos

I’ve been wanting to build Michiko for the longest, but I’ve just been uninspired. Everyone else went total stax and control with her, and while there are some elements of it here, I love where you went with it. I ended up just building it this week! Thanks for the inspiration I needed!

I came back to magic after not playing for a while. I came back after edh was a thing. I've read some of the old books and loved magic's stories and characters. Teferri was always my favorite, so my first commander deck had to be a teferri, but Niambi was the only option I felt would make the most "teferri" deck. One thing I've learned is how useful an unassuming commander can be. Sometimes beefing a 2/2 and hiting unblocked can win with commander damage

Michiko Konda is my favorite mono-white commander deck that I have. :) Also the commander I have had to repeat the line "Are you sure?" far too many times. Make sure you make people read her before the game and loudly proclaim when you cast her because people will try and back peddle so damn much when those Michiko triggers hit the stack.

With your green cat deck, Fecundity would be good. As you sac those creatures to get more creatures, you get to draw more cards so she makes her tokens bigger. Edit: Norn's Annex is also good for the mono white commander when you want to try and slow aggro.

for the michiko deck i would add "scout warning" an instant that give flash to your next creature spell, to flash in michiko when someone all in me

I think the reason Jolrael isn't more popular is just because everyone loves green but most people don't get really excited to play *mono* green without some kind of big gimmick, like a Seton deck or a Thrasta deck.

Niv Mizzet can target his pings, so he can remove Michiko first if she isn't indestructible or has protection of course.

that michiko deck looks fun, but IMO it could run some token hate, rest in peace and other death triggers hate and some passive life gain, so her ability can punish aristocrats and tokens that desenchant with buyback could be good against defensive and combo decks

@@edhdeckbuilding hardly a problem if any, your normal draw is already 1 damage to Michiko, play a can trick and that is the next one just by casting it and kill her and with resolution of the can trick curiosity the hell out of you... Niv just laugh at your face XD

My Niambi deck is not a Teferi deck. Instead, I leverage the +1 card advantage from her etb to use the cool but otherwise risky madness cards and discard outlets in the colors. I tend to not cast teferi at all unless the game stalls out and goes to topdecks. ((25$ budget so obviously not optimized)).

You know honestly I would prefer the number three spot over having actual planeswalker commanders. That or the creatures that exile and transform to turn into commanders if I condition is Matt. That’s also a really good way to implement them. But you slapping on “this can be your commander“ on it seems like a middle finger by wizards to the rules committee as a way to stick their fingers in the rules of the format without actually having any seat at the table
