Shogi (japanese chess) is a good game too :) its like chess but you can use recaptured pieces (it is also the most popular board game in japan, by the way) and no, its not just chess with reusable pieces. The game has several new pieces, a bigger board, and many orders of magnitude of possibilities than chess. If you're familiar with "crazyhouse chess", well, it is in my opinion that crazyhouse has nothing on shogi. If you're interested in the game, don't let the chinese characters on the pieces intimidate you. There are only 8 types of pieces and 3 promotions. The complexity is in the potential of a game, not learning the pieces themselves. Learning the pieces can be achieved with enough practice. There are also different piece icon styles, like western, so if you're familiar with western chess, you can keep track of the pieces easily. Shogi and Chess both descend from Chaturanga, by the way. They're like siblings. If you find the game interesting, you can learn how to play by watching a full tutorial series by a youtube channel named "Hidetchi".

Hi, I really enjoy your stories and appreciate how personal they are. What about creating a video about playing games (if you did) like red rover, tag, sardines, or capture the flag, etc.? Maybe another video on day, or sleep away, camp if you ever went. Keep up the great work, we really enjoy your videos! Thank you!

No one ever actually played Mouse Trap I'm convinced. We just built the thing and made it go off a few times.

I only play Yahtzee when I'm waiting for friends to arrive for D&D. All you need is 5 d6, a couple d100's to keep track of total score and 3 brain cells to keep track of what you've already gotten, or even just use dice to remember what you've gotten.
