@@DavidHeathHomebrew Have devoured all of them! And yes please! Looking forward to that video - especially how to use the different programmable modes, RAPT etc. On that, I had a question. When we program the different mashes - for eg: say, 30 min at 65c and then another 30 at 75c (please excuse the randomness of this example!), is the system intelligent enough to know that it say, takes, 5 minutes to go from 65 to 75, and hence starts off the heating in minute 25 itself so that at minute 30, the timer starts for 30 minutes of 75 mashing? Then again, that will mean that it was only a 25 minute mash at 65. Or does it start the second 30 minute timer only once it has reached 75? Apologies if the question is long winded and/or slightly naive. Thank you.

Hi Leif, Its a very good upgrade. I am using a G30 CFC with mine. Its a very easy conversion to cam locks. I show this in my G30 camlock conversion video. Dangit! Another video out of the category "I hope, my wife never finds out."... The Brewzilla was so nicely presented in this video, I couldn't help myself thinking how nicely it would go with my simple Fermzilla. Just the price tag is stopping me from ordering it immediately, but that's only temporary. However, what I'd really be interested in would be the downsides. What could still be improved about the Brewzilla? Obviously I don't own an all-grain system, but want to obtain one. I'm reading a ton about it, but as so often, many reviews are made by people who got one for free, for praising it to the highest tone ever. So, I'm hoping, David would ever make a video that is as critical as it can get. What doesn't work to the highest perfection in the different brewing systems? If the worst thing is that the buttons are "too clicky", it ain't be an issue for me. But is the heating power sufficient, is the pump good enough, is the control unit intuitive etc. Whatever it is that gives some struggle, I'm interested in. The negative usually tells more than the positive.
@DavidHeathHomebrew2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robin. I am very careful with the way I conduct production assessments and reviews. I think with such a system it is unrealistic to do a few brews and then a review. Its just not enough. So I prefer as gradual approach. Kegland have a lot of experience and expertise that I find reassuring. At this point I think the main thing will be waiting on firmware updates. However, if you do not live in Australia then by the time this reaches you those matters will already be settled.
@smurface5492 жыл бұрын
@@DavidHeathHomebrew Hi David, I fully understand that a day has only 24h, and you can't test multiple systems to the extend of brewing countless batches and compiling a video with all experiences. Still, your reviews are very valuable, and surely you might have picked up on some things very quickly. Take the overflow pipe from this video as an example. Even if many brewing systems have them, you mention that the gen 4 system is better because it doesn't have one. But would I have gotten this information if you wouldn't have compared two systems? If I'd watch only a gen3 review, maybe I wouldn't be aware that a system without overflow pipe makes some steps easier. It's things like this, which you might pick up easily due to a ton of experience, which other people might not think about enough to mention it. Sure, no one (or at least not nice people) wants to badmouth a product. But there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism, and I'd be happy to get a little extra information, as I myself are only in the very beginning of my brewing journey. Still, I think that your response has just told the most important point about the Brewzilla. You say, maybe it's about waiting for firmware updates. Which tells me, the firmware could maybe use some improvement, but the hardware is all fine. For me that's fantastic news, as firmware can be changed rather easily, but the hardware can't. And finally, I'd like to thank you for your videos. They're not only educational, but for me they're also inspiring. Greetings and best wishes from a Nordic neighbour (the one with the weird language).
