the truth is America had made great progress with regard to race equality in the years since the civil Rights bill of 64. In the 90s it was almost to a point where most of the country had put it behind them. The election of Obama proved that and Obama could have done a lot to completely bury the old way of thinking. Instead he got another generation believing that a handful of of incidences of police shooting black guys was indicative of the attitude of the entire country. He set us back 50 yrs with regard to race relations ,when he could have done just the opposite

The representatives of both parties act irresponsibly by acknowledging these fringe groups , whose numbers are negligible. Any isolated incident involving these groups is blown out of proportion now and given more attention than it deserves. As far as Trump is concerned I would imagine he probably thinks it should go without saying that he's not a white supremacist. He's never did or said anything that would imply it , either as a businessman or as a politician. I'd like to think he finds the idea ridiculous, as it most certainly is.

Me and a really good friend would go to the matches in Joplin MO. during the early 80's and Terry Garvin would always find us in the audience to recruit him to become a wrestler. My friend was 6' 6" 225 lbs and a state champion athlete in every sport he did, plus a very good looking guy who got any woman he wanted. Terry got his phone number and called him all the time, offering to train him plus start him at $30 thousand a year in Central States. My dad told him to be careful that Garvin wasn't trying to just get in his pants.
