You sort of forget how lucky us younger generations are to have as much access to family and information as we do. Brian sought out information about his great-great-grandfather, as he didn't know what he did for a living, how long he lived for, where he lived and who he was married to, not even his name...I've met two of my great-great-grandparents. Just shows the absolute leaps and bounds we've made in the last 100+ years 💜💜💜

I can relate to Brian's elation. When I began looking for my Great Great Grandfather all the family knew was that he had died of "the fever" in a Civil War training camp in Texas. Apparently NOT even his ONLY son (my Great Grandfather) that was born the same year he died ever knew his father's name. After a few years of cross checking military record, marriage records and the like I found his name, a name that had been lost to the family for 3 Generations, Evan! Sitting in the library, looking at the microfilmed record I felt like yelling just like Brian did!
