One thing that I've observed is that guys who have very small waist and hip structures also frequently have relatively small legs; even among non-bodybuilders. A case in point for the opposite would be bodybuilders such as Jay Cutler, Big Romy, and (get ready for it)...Tom Platz. These bodybuilders had the biggest legs in the business yet they also had wide waists.

Ronnie was an exception to this for a few years, until he waist got larger. 99 his legs had crazy pop off of the quads and his waist was very small. Even smaller and tighter than Flex's. Short well shaped torso, just didn't have the six pack.

Brian Buchanan has too small of a waistm and is wider than Flex. This is why I never put Flex Wheeler in any of my top 10 GOATs ever, he's just way too narrow. You need shoulders and waist to create the taper, not just waist.

brian literally had one of the greatest genetics ever. If he had modern drugs he would probably be mentioned with the rest of the champs. Only thing he was lacking was legs but in that era noone really tried to get big legs

Brian has a better structure. Era for era I've got to go with Brian. Brian's leg shape is even quite good. They'd just need to be bigger, but 80's standards and 90's standards were different when it comes to legs. Pretty much every era can be summed up with "bigger legs".

Upper body much better on brian Buchanan, flex had alot of synthol through his arms, delts and calves which was one of the reasons for his health demise.The upper legs are much better on flex.

Flex Wheeler is the most overrated bodybuilder of all of times. SYNTHOL delts, calves, and arms. I always liked Chris Cormier physique better (minus his underdeveloped delts).
