Wait... so his parents KNEW he had made a kill kit, but, even though this was AFTER his journal was found, they didn't report him to the police?? BUT, his mom was suspicious enough from some random wallet and "there might be blood on the car" to search his room?? So, concerned enough to search his room, but not concerned enough to seek psychological help for him? I mean, I guess congrats for making sure he didn't get his license until he was 18 so that he didn't hurt anyone on the road. (/s)

Oh yay! I talked about this one with Sara's researcher when we talked about the 8 Day Bride case because we both thought Brian's interrogation tapes and the body cam footage from the car accident are kind of crazy to watch and unpack over all. Like Brian is just totally calm the entire time regardless of the topic of questioning; talking about his car accident: stoic, getting arrested: stoic, explaining the murder to the police: stoic. Clearly a few crossed wires in Brian's head making him seem almost emotionless; it's like if Dwight Schrute murdered someone and was arrested.

@@lieslwright70 I think he, the victim, Warren Brown, usually paid for a room in a rooming house, which he paid for with earnings as a day laborer with a local temp agency called People Ready. But he lived a solitary life and occasionally would camp outside too. I’m just stunned and in shock and sad about this story. It’s truly tragic, and awful and heartbreaking.
