Watched this movie recently. The ending wasn't completely satisfying, but the movie was pretty great. Some of the sequences are so good. Hitchcock-esque for sure.

Remember seeing this when I was a teenager in the 80s on cable.I have always remembered this scene and how I was so taken by it. Not a word spoken but very powerful.

Can't wait to pick up the remastered Criterion for this. I saw it for the first time a few weeks ago and was stunned at how expertly crafted, shot, and directed it was. What a tense and engaging film, where every shot matters.

I think he stands alone in terms of how virtuosic and visual his sequences are, especially when you consider that most of them were made in the pre-CGI era and they are so much better than anything made today.
