I saw them a few times recently they are still amazing live. I have been a huge fan since around 1996. They were that band for us kids in the 90s who were in High School who didn't necessarily fit in with the rest of the world. Much like the band RUSH was for kids in the 70s and 80s.

3:38 "the bullies I had reminding me of every flaw I had...". THIS. How many have deep abiding wounds from this, beginning with family, then friends and peers? It helps me to hear him. My wounds are sooooo deep. I was a beautiful, sweet, pure, innocent child. Yet all my family saw was someone stupid and ugly and it's still engraved in me. And self hate covers it like slime.

I was a heroine addict partying my head off for 11 years, lost everything that mattered to me including my heartbeat and for a few minutes my life, but God ripped me out as suddenly as a big lifeguard pulling me out the water but as gently as a father who found the son he lost. There was no denying God’s intervention in my life to all who knew me but in recent years monotony and the struggle to be relevant as a believer in a modern, digital world as well as the pettiness and detachment of many churches to the real world has lead me to a very numb place spiritually and it feels like a bigger threat to my eternal state than all my parting and drugging ever did. I feel like I need a monster truck builder to pull me into a church quick. It’s one thing to know without a doubt that God is real and knows me, it’s another thing completely to maintain a relationship with Him especially given a strained relationship with my earthly dad, an amazing man but never understood me nor I him.

I have followed Brian’s journey or started to after I encountered the Holy Spirit and have had a similar experience spiritually changing. As much as I love music and know it , I’d never really listened to Korn . I just saw a video of him talking about his experience with the Holy Spirit on a day that i wanted to give up going through changes after Encountering God and feeling odd and alone . His description of God and the relationship with Christ is what I know him to be , So following his journey is an anchor or has been through close to 6 years of being set apart and healed with him alone. It’s a beautiful blessing this video popped up today at the beginning of a new life coming out of this dark knight of the soul. The Holy Spirit is so strategic and an amazing divine guide. The love of God is like nothing I’ve ever known or experienced. It’s a supernatural teacher . So grateful for people like Brian that tell the truth of what he went through and doesn’t hold back on his speaking about his supernatural experience with God . It’s not religion, it’s a relationship. Thank you and Bod bless you and your beautiful daughter Brian Welch. 🌈🌈🌈🙏

Displaying my open wounds like that I knew I couldn't display , I was far better at listening to the unheard, seeing the unseen, repecting the dismissed. I’ve been a Christian for 17 years and grew up with my grandparents. So I assumed that all Christian music was just hymns and stuff. But I really like heavy metal. So through listening to that stuff (mostly avenged sevenfold), I fell away from Christ. But almost a decade ago I was having seizures and He spoke to me. I was introduced to contemporary Christian music. Then within the past couple of weeks, a friend had me listen to some Christian metal bands. So my musical tastes have come full circle, but are now on the other side.

@@Jyotinanda108 it's from old testament and you must know what happened in those days. Jesus already told you in new testement "Matthew 5:17 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." Dont read the Bible your own lust, read it with Holy Spirit. Godblessyou

@@kapalatiktok2782 ehhhhhh? Jesus pretty much oks the old testament b.s.. Not one jot or tittle to be changed. How can I read stoning a man to death in any other way other than it's barbaric and disgusting, in any time in human history. How is reading Leviticus "in the holy spirit" going to change its meaning?

I totally get that...it was just innate in me. I was always, since I was like9, was just drawn to that dark, “cool”, drunken, hysterical rockstar lifestyle. I do not know why. I had two dreams when I was young. I was on one side of a pond and the devil was on the other and we just looked at each other. He was just patiently waiting for me.

Drank like a fish from 20 to 25, literally a gallon a day. Went to jail and was asked by a nurse how I was "still alive" because of my consumption. She recommended I read his book while in the jail. "Save Me From Myself" changed my life. Thank you Mr. Welch!

Freeyourmind So many people know Jesus to be alive and there for all. What makes you so sure? If you’re so free-minded why do you put limits on others? You should sincerely try at least to get to know Christ before you make such close minded comments. Do your research in the positive and negative, not just one sided negative study of Christ.

Walked away from church 20 some years ago. A lot of drugs and alcohol later my wife finally convinced me to go to a church she found. I wanted nothing to do with it but I went. There were so many people just like me. Harleys, tattoos, earrings and not a suit in sight. Plain normal people. Took me 3 goes before I surrendered my life back to Christ and today marks day 11 of being sober, While not a miracle to some it is to me for the amount I drank every day. Thank you God for waiting for me right where I left you.

Who cares? You guys would have called Jesus out for hanging with prostitutes. You seriously have to stop trying to work things out based on how you think a person should be. Move outside the bubble of church and be with others who you have been told to stay away from and I guarantee you that you will look back and see that some of the darkest of darkness is actually within the church

@@osarumenerhunmwunsee Wow, you are so dead wrong. Korn has got some people through the hardest times. People full of anger, depression, hate, people who were abused or on drugs. These guys have saved tons of lives and even motivated people to play music, stay positive, connect with other positive people and even become religious and close to God. Not many bands can say that. What a false statement you just made......
