I knew last November when they hired this man while I was on vacation that the turnaround would be quick and it would be professionally done. What he did at Notre Dame was a downright miracle considering the handicaps in place and how the SEC dominated the recruiting scene along with Ohio St. I also knew Nick Saban knew it as well, even back then in November 2021. LSU finally got the guy who would do for them what Saban did for Bama. And LSU won two NC with two gumbo headed head coaches due to talent alone. Imagine what Kelly could do. I also knew the media hated it because of everything I just said. ESPN radio that very day he flew in and gave his speech before LSU crowd at basketball game downright went jugular at trying to blanket their listeners with the idea left a great thing at Notre Lame to coach LSU. They made fun of his twang and dogged him how he left Notre Lame. The last laugh will be Kelly and LSU at the SEC title game. They may not beat Georgia, but I am confident as I have ever been as an LSU fan in my life (I'm 42) that this staff will have them prepared for Georgia to give then a game they will have to earn every inch in winning. And if they do somehow beat Georgia and get an SEC title in his first season, with 3 true freshman on offense at Tackle and TE with a transfer QB and a bunch of portal guys that came after many jumped ship will be the biggest story in college football in over 30 years or more. It is crazy what they are doing. Asinine even.

Brian Kelley has changed so much this year vs at ND. During last years run he had with the Irish, he already had one foot out the door during the season. He was VERY moody and ornery all the time, at least it seemed. He just appears to be so much happier at LSU this year 🤔 Am I imagining this, any comments would be appreciated.

As an ND fan I agree, this is about as happy as I've seen him. Normally even after a big win he's all business and focusing on areas that need improvement, which btw results in an underrated strength of his teams generally not losing trap games and beating who they're supposed to. My guess is all the criticism he's faced this last year hit him hard and he views this game as a sort of validation/catharsis. Anyways good luck, Kelly can be an asshole but he's a damn good coach and with all that talent down in Louisiana I fully suspect y'all to win a natty in the next few years.
