USC is a relic football program. It's no longer a top 6 big brand in CF. Why would an 18-22-year-old go to USC and have to pay a buttload of taxes on any NIL-approved income AND not be competitive and the grand scheme of things? We have to give tremendous credit to Pete Carroll for the job he did for that school. Oregon, UCLA, and Utah are better options for kids now that want to stay in the West. P.S. Georgia has been hyper-competitive (Which is why they recruit so well) and Clemson hasn't been "invisible" prior to recently. They've recruited well for the last 15 years. Kids and by extension Parents have known what's up in the last 10 years with the sport.

After somehow becoming Bama’s opponent in the BCS title game after the ‘12 season over the Ducks, got mauled again. Been in the college football playoff twice, and was never really in either game. The last 3 LSU coaches won National Championships. This streak will now come to an end because of the above big game results.
@AnthonyJ5042 жыл бұрын
Why do you think he's leaving ND for LSU? Because he didn't have the horses to run with the big boys at Cincy and ND. He's going to have access to a different caliber recruiting class. You're not getting 5 and a lot of 4 stars to come to Cincy. You simply can't sign most of the top talent at ND because of the academic restrictions. LSU has and gets the talent to run with anyone. The guy has won everywhere he's been. If Les Miles and Ed O can win national titles at LSU you better believe Kelly will have a great opportunity to as well.

Colin is the biggest West Coast snob in all of sports media today. USC hasn't been relevant on a national scale since Pete Carrol left, yet he says USC his a top 2 football program. Last I checked they've won two national championships in the last 43 years, and one of those ('03) they shared with LSU. They may be the most notable PAC-12 program, but USC is nowhere close to a top 5 college football program.

@Intimigator2 жыл бұрын
@@reubenblanco3021 if your main contention is their history more than 50 years ago, then there's no argument there. But the landscape of college football has drastically changed just in the last 25 years and as I mentioned before, USC has been nationally irrelevant outside of the Carrol years. You say that USC and Notre Dame are the top 2 football programs in the country. If that's the case, why did USC have to spend well over $100 million to steal a proven coach away from a different blue chip program? Why did Brian Kelly decide to leave South Bend after 11 years to go to LSU, while Notre Dame still has a legitimate chance to make the playoffs this season? As of September 2021, Notre Dame ranks 5th among all colleges with players currently in the NFL. USC is all the way down at no. 18. There are five SEC programs and even two PAC-12 programs ahead of USC in that category. USC has only had six of its players drafted in the 1st round in the last 9 years, and only one of them has made a Pro Bowl. So again how is USC even a top 5 program still when in the last 9 years they've won no national championships, only one conference championship, and have had almost as many head coaches (5) as they have 1st round picks during that span?
