Why the parents did not do anything HE killed her, do you honestly thing that he would tell his parents what he had done, that is crazy. I feel bad for both sets of parents, both are grieving neither deserved it. What young adult would tell their parents they killed someone....he told them they had a fight and he left, a friend was suppose to met them there so it is not suspicious at all. I know a girl who went on a trip with an abusive boyfriend and he left her on the other side of the country, took everything and she wired her dad for money to get home, it happens a lot. The parents had gotten a lawyer thinking that something happened to the girl after he left her because it was said she was missing. ..Lawyer would had told them not to talk. No parent is going to believe that their kid murdered someone. We do not know if Brain was on drugs or just abusive or into choking...does not matter, all evil on his part...not the parents.

I SAY THIS NOT TO SIDE WITH THE LAUNDRIES, BUT @Alex Rogan: YOU KNOW AS MUCH AS ANYONE, NOT AN INVESTIGATOR IN THIS CASE, WHICH MEANS YOU DO NOT KNOW ENOUGH TO BLAME BRIAN LAUNDRIE'S PARENTS FOR ANYTHING. YOU MAKE ALOT OF ACCUSATIONS THAT YOU CANNOT BACK. WHY NOT WAIT LIKE THE REST OF US TO FIND OUT WHAT, IF ANYTHING, THE LAUNDRIE PARENTS KNEW OR DID NOT KNOW. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ASKED THEIR SON OR DID NOT ASK. IF YOU KILLED YOUR GIRLFRIEND WOULD YOU HAVE RUN HOME TO MOMMY AND DADDY AND BLABBED? PERHAPS HE DID. PERHAPS HE DID NOT. YOU NOW KNOW THAT BRIAN MADE AN EFFORT TO THROW OFF THE TRAIL BY SENDING TEXT MESSAGES TO HER PARENT PRETENDING THEY WERE FROM GABBY. HE COULD HAVE JUST AS LIKELY GONE HOME AND SAID ANYTHING TO COVER UP HIS TRAIL, DUE TO HIS, AT THAT POINT, STILL HOPING TO GET AWAY WITH WHAT HE HAD DONE. HIS PARENTS HELPED HIM AS PARENTS DO, NOT NECESSARILY BECAUSE THEY KNEW HE WAS GUILTY, BUT PERHAPS BECAUSE THEY KNEW HE WOULD BE A SUSPECT ONCE NEWS STARTED CIRCULATING ABOUT GABBY. DID THEY THEMSELVES THINK POSSIBLY HE WAS GUILTY, DID THEY TRY TO RATIONALIZE THAT IF HE WAS GUILTY, UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES, WAS IT ACCIDENTAL? PARENTS WANT TO BELIEVE THE BEST ABOUT THEIR CHILD. AS FOR ATTORNEYS, THEY WILL ADVISE ANYONE, FOR ANY REASON, NOT TO TALK TO THE POLICE OR ANYONE ELSE. THAT IS WHAT LAWYERS DO TO PROTECT THEIR CLIENTS. PROTECT THEM FROM SAYING SOMETHING THEY CANNOT WALK BACK, SOMETHING INNOCENT BUT SEEMING NOT INNOCENT. SAY NOTHING IS THE BEST ADVISE REGARDLESS OF HOW IT APPEARS. THUS, MY SUGGESTION TO YOU IS STOP DENEGRADING AN ALREADY DEVASTATED SET OF PARENTS BEFORE YOU KNOW ANYTHING. YOU COULD BE RIGHT. BUT JUST AS POSSIBLE, YOU ARE WRONG. CHILL OUT AND WAIT LIKE THE REST OF US.

@@stacimilligan3412 the fact that they did not answer any of the calls from Gabby’s family BEFORE she was ever reported missing, before he ever returned home. Proves they knew a lot more than they ever spoke up about. Hence why they lawyered up so quickly. Most people don’t lawyer up when they are completely innocent esp when they had no direct involvement with Gabby’s death. They knew she was out there decomposing and said nothing. I don’t think any parent with a heart would want that for their child and the fact Gabby was living with them, engaged to their son and they still just let an investigation draw out. The Laundries would not appreciate that if it were their child and the other way around. And for Brian, he got to chose death. He didn’t give Gabby the same choice, she was murdered by a person she thought loved and cared about her, left her out there, took her van and drove home to camp with his family like he didn’t just murder his girlfriend. Nothing about Brian killing Gabby and him taking his life is fair or even even. He got to say goodbye to his family, did he let Gabby do the same? No. The whole family are sick individuals who played the law very well. Something tells me this isn’t the first time they’ve been in trouble before esp with the way they handled themselves so collectively and quiet. Or, the fact that Brian Laundries father was caught laughing and smiling it up with LE during the search in the reserve. I don’t know what’s funny about your son being a murderer, armed and dangerous in a public reserve fleeing from a crime/police and ending his life. Biggest sickos. I seriously will never understand how LE made so many mistakes or how the parents were never charged for obstruction of justice. HE witnessed the abuse, he had the power to have bl removed from the situation and placed safely away for at least a night, and not in an underrated class hotel. He likely NEVER stayed in that place that night. He was, imo, too fired up from the incident with the police, and like most abusers, he wanted to KNOW WHERE GABBY WAS??? I cannot watch that traffic stop without feeling sick. The subtlety of bl's facial expressions and changes are disgraceful to watch back, KNOWING what we do know of him, there he was in ALL his glory, the perfect example of exactly how a narcissist works. I hope the parents live like hermits all their remaining days on earth. The offered NOTHING to the family whose daughter had vanished, not a single breath of air wasted on them. Brian’s parents knew, 100%. In the interview done with Brian’s sister and her husband (watch that again), outside Brian’s sister’s home, she says that they didn’t speak about Gabby at the campsite, ‘the kids were there’. This implies that whatever they would talk about would have been around little ears, so that topic was off the table, this in turn means they knew something and that it wasn’t discussed because the kids were present. It shows guilt of purposely taking that subject off the table, meaning that subject exists. Get me? The whereabouts of Gabby or Gabby herself, were not discussed because the kids might hear. I took it as they didn't speak about Gabby to not upset kids because she thought/had been told they had broken up. That would make sense as well, similar to knowing something more sinister. As far as camping trip dates changing, perhaps they found out Brian was coming home, had broken up with Gabby (so they could have been told), and they wanted to include him or make it more convenient by pushing it back a few days. Who knows, but simply pointing out there are other options for what could have happened. We definitely don't have all the information, and don't really know what the Laundries knew or not. Though their behavior was very odd and I do believe they could/Gabby should have helped more and shown care for Gabby's family. Who knows, maybe Brian came home with a story that caused them to be angry towards Gabby & her family, knowing his parents would not speak to them? There are many possibilities in this craziness! Brian is dead and justice has been served. You have a hate problem. YOU should be ashamed of yourself for bringing so much hate onto innocent people . The Laundries did nothing wrong. When Nichole Schmidt first called on September 11th the Laundries learned that Gabby was missing. Contrary to what you may believe there is no evidence that Brian confessed anything to his parents. His parents acted responsibly when they called their lawyer friend to help in this confusing situation. So many people like you insisted that the Laundries should have called back Gabby's parents back. What could they possibly tell Gabby's parents to ease their suffering?????? NOTHING!!! Stop the hate! None of this helps Gabby's family. If you were seriously concerned about Gabby's family then you would be concerned about what is important to them. Do you give money to the Gabby Petito foundation???? Of course not! You don't care about Gabby's family. You are all about spreading hate and this helps nobody!!!!

@Thatsswell-hr9ev2 жыл бұрын
@@user-xj4yv3qo3v That is just your hate talking. You heard too many lies so my answer will be long to clarify the situation a little better for you. They didn't return their call on September 11th because they needed to find out from Brian what was going on. Gabby's family needed information but there is no evidence that the Laundries knew anything. Do you think Gabby's family would have suffered less if the Laundries called back and said " I don't know where she is". There are online videos of Brian and Gabby being this happy couple. Even Gabby's parents were not worried about Brian's behavior with their daughter. Why should the Laundries think that it was dangerous for their son to own a gun? Also the Laundries did not know (until after he left the house) that his gun was missing. They knew he was upset when he left the house but it never occurred to them that he could be suicidal. They were still thinking that maybe Gabby ran off with her friends. They were clueless. The Laundries didn't cooperate with the police because they didn't know why Gabby was missing. Don't you know that police interrogations can drag out for hours because they assume that you know more than what you are telling them??? Sometimes police are trying to coerce a confession. This is how some people are wrongfully incarcerated for crimes they never committed. If you don't know the truth then don't talk to police. We know now that Brian is a murderer but back then it wasn't so clear. The Laundries were smart not to talk to police at that time. But then again their lawyer friend was giving them that legal advice. Brian left the house on September 13th. On September 17th the Laundries reported their own son missing. He left his wallet, some money and other necessities at his parents home. It was in plain view for them to see. But his parents knew that he would never go outside for long without these things. After 4 days of Brian missing they called the police and were then thinking he may have harmed himself. They were cooperative with police then. They would work with police then because they knew a lot about Brian's habits. He likes to camp and hike in Carlton Reserves and his parents knew the areas he likes to go. They even drew out a map for the FBI of where Brian may possibly be in that park. His parents were in the best position to find him and they did ultimately find his bones. I don't have a hate problem so it is easy for me to think objectively. STOP THE HATE !!!!

I don’t think the Feds could prove the Laundrie’s withheld information and they will not file on a person(s) unless there is absolute indisputable evidence. At most there was grey area evidence that they misled law enforcement by giving the wrong departure date. Proving that they intentionally gave the wrong date to aid and abet his escape would’ve been difficult. Especially since the mother claimed she feared he would hurt himself. I think there should be an investigation into the Florida local law enforcement’s “quantity” of errors. There are so many it’s difficult to imagine that they weren’t protecting the Laundries. The way the Laundrie family chose to not respond to Gabby’s family is legal but sickeningly immoral. I do believe they knew before he left Utah. I also believe they contacted the attorney within hours after he murdered her, which is how their attorney managed to protect his clients, being the parents. I also believe he murdered her because after hitting her she told him to leave or she would file charges on him. And he decided the truck was his since his daddy co-sign the loan for it. He was a textbook abuser. After watching daddy’s performance with the signs in their lawn, I’m comfortable with my position on who he learned his anger and hatred from. It’s so sad. When I heard about this I thought immediately he could come to this area and thrive if he was an avid outdoorsman. First thing I said was "does he have a weapon?" Because that's something I want to know because that determines how I approach you if I see you. If I think you might have a gun I'm approaching with my gun drawn. If not then it's still holstered. If he would have killed someone due to our law enforcement who are supposed to keep us safe then whoevers family should have sued them for millions. They knew he had his dad's revolver and withheld that information. It's It's an absolute shame that they just hire anyone and everyone to be in any law enforcement position these days. It all adds up to Brian's parents were ALREADY in witness protection with some previous situation when Brian brought this mess to their front door. Has anyone ever seen a close up, smiley face photo of the Laundries ? They're from New York, relocated to Florida, represented by a NY lawyer. Never cooperated with law enforcement. Conveniently went to the swamp to help look for Brian and in a short time the father bends down and picks up Brian's property and hands it to the police. NOBODY but the police are to handle evidence at a potential crime scene. But he was allowed to. Then Brian's 'remains' are found nearby after weeks of searching by multiple law enforcement including cadaver dogs. They quickly I.D. the remains as Brian's. The parents fade back into the shadows and now the FBI says, 'Brian did it, investigation over.' A neat little bow, everyone go back to your lives now, there's nothing to see here. The FBI will cover up major crimes if there is something much bigger at stake. And I think the Laundries were connected to something much bigger. Brian may very well have been moved to hiding by the FBI, partial remains falsified, he's guilty, he's dead, case closed. Now someone keep an eye on the Laundries because they'll be on the move.
