Back on the board at 44 years old after a 27 years and pretty surprised at how much skill has been retained as well as lost. This was one of the last videos and favorite parts I used to watch constantly on VHS. Feels just like yesterday. Thank you for uploading.

@@SPINNINGMYWHEELS777 Yeah we can't pretend the old skate shoes were actually good. Nostalgically awesome but re-released today? People would trash them haha. I wish I had some for chill shoes though. Stupid Airwalk sold out when skating went bust....and then the skate shoe game went monster. They missed out big time.

Back when everyone wore airwalks. So rad

I remember seeing Lotti at a demo in Virginia, and he was so chill and gave me a bag of stickers because I could do a 360 kick flip. This is waaay back, he was there with Mike Carrol and Brian Tucci. 360 flips were the newest trick.

and .....JASON LEE(mr 360 flip), he was also the first skater land everything "BOLTED".

Best style & Best tricks = Brian Lotti I know this is 24 years old, but if you watch it it will help you with your skating. I saw it for the 1st x in 2009 or 2011 on videotape. I wish I would have saw it in '94 when I started skating.

Love this part. Always one of my favs. Loved the slo-mo manny part. Always gave me chills. That music went so well with it. 1:42 switch 360 in 1991. So fucked up to realize how insane that was then.
@SPINNINGMYWHEELS7772 жыл бұрын
it was part of the process in 1991 - we expected this progress as it seemed everyone was pushing boundaries because we were having so much fun

Guy Mariano does one at the start of his Video Days part from the same year. Both classic videos and parts.

I’m 44 and was heavily skating back then. One day my friend came to pick me up to go skate, and he saw my older brother who he said looked like Lotti. So he kept calling me Lotti as a joke and that nickname stuck till this day. I loved him and Hensley’s style! Wish I was back in those great times!!

I watched it so many times. Just everything about it. The film. Slo mo. Sunshine. I remember thinking at the time, this is like watching skateboarding from the future. Surely this will be the standard of street skating. So tech, so stylish

Epic part, classic Airwalk White Hots... I still remembered the words to that song "its not the same". Also reminded me of "Ezekiel, hyndman, Lotti, Dave swarnson just some of the H-Street crew at summer camp 1988". Hah !

Not the same by Handy with shovels, that song pumped me up to go skating, watched this part a zillion times before going out skating. In 1991 I think it was I met him in person @ Münster Monster Mastership in Germany and bought a set of A1 Meats "Kings" off of him and rode them till they fell apart. Such a super nice guy. Thanx 4 all your influence in my life of skating and all of skateboarding Brian.

Ronald van Peppen if luck serves, maybe Handy w/Shovels will play some more tunes in the near future

The former members of Handy w/Shovels are still around living inside of a couple hours of each other. We are all still like good friends and have lightly discussed getting together to record rather than play any shows. Regardless, life and responsibility make logitsics tough any more. BUT you never know. Stranger things have happened! We appreciate that there are people who enjoy our music. We are the luckiest guys on earth to share this experience, music and skateboarding with you all
