I know people say you shouldn't break down songs and analyse them because it sort of ruins it/takes the art away. But to hear one of the artists do it and actually talk you through everything is so rare, and with a song like Bohemian Rhapsody, this is golden footage. I just wish they had continued their analysis of the very end when it's mainly just Freddy & Brian, for me that's the most beautiful part of the entire song. Thank you for uploading this fantastic footage.

+MonroeSmile Great point....to aspiring home studio engineers/artists, this is pure gold. I think the one producer that takes it to another level is Mutt Lange working with Def Leppard on the Hysteria LP. These guys sharing this info is one of the greatest gifts they can bestow-even if "average Joe" couldn't care less.....I love behind the music/studio vidz. Peace, Brother!

Astounding recording. Anyone who has ever recorded at any level has to appreciate all the intricacies of this track. Like the Beatles, that it was made on the equipment of the day makes it all the more mind boggling for me. An accomplishment, a moment in time for music recording that stands out.

:)...If you don't record music or a learned musician; why would you? Queen, like many prog groups of the time have so many layers in a piece...You probably didn't hear the colors as recorded either...White, black, blue and red noise to add atmosphere...But, it's cool that you learned something...:), That's always a good thing!

ktpinnacle: How true! Brian's guitar played the parts that would be traditionally played by a synth. They are so much cooler on guitar, but he is one of very few people with the genius to pull it off. I was a teen when this came out, queen wasn't really huge early on, and it's amazing this song ever became a hit, the length of it, the piano, more like a ballad almost but once the drums came in and Brian's guitar it worked, those days were 3/4 minute songs, there's noway they'd play long songs but this song broke all the rules and obviously became a monster.
