When you've reached the top and something's still missing, where do you go? Brian "Head" Welch's life was spinning out of control. As lead guitarist for the band Korn, people worshipped his music. He made all the money, had all the cars, houses and women he could handle, but still found himself with a crippling addiction to Meth. "I couldn't stay sober. I didn't know how. I hit rock bottom."
There's a point when you finally look in the mirror at an image that you're simply tired of seeing. Brian wanted to quit, but what if quitting required complete surrender?

Broke down in tears when he had his arms extended while lookung at the ceiling and said "Father...." that hit me hard ive been there at rock bottom n noone can help you but God in that "Father..." moment when ur sick n tired of being sick n tired. GOD BLESS YOU BRIAN

God bless you, but remember, that even Judas lead people to Christ. Joel Osteen leads people to Christ, and when they read the Bible, they leave those false teachers to true faith in Christ by the Spirit. You will know a tree by its fruit (Matthew 7:17-19), and his fruit to date is still failure, but there is still hope should the Lord truly have chosen him. Whosoever works both ways in the Bible (Revelation 20:15 KJV & John 3:16 KJV), but is the son of perdition despite saying he was converted until his own hanging of his own accord despite professing Jesus to others. Be wise, and pray. We are called to judge those in the church, not those outside (1 Corinthians 5:12-13). Therefore, if Brian is in, then he needs to be put out, and let God handle him. If he is out, then darkness is to be exposed (Ephesians 5:11) for others within the church to not fall into the pit of bad fruit such as he shows CLEARLY (Matthew 7:17-19). As I understand it, Brian takes a Pastor with him to the concerts. Brian and the Pastor pray before Korn takes the stage and the Pastor walks out into the crowd and as he feels led, he offers backstage passes to specific people to meet Brian. They come back stage and Brian signs autographs and talks with them for a while and then he tells them how Christ saved him as he gives them the plan of salvation. Brian ran this by the other guys in Korn to make sure they were ok with him doing it and they were. To any believers (excluding full time in the ministry) that criticized Brian for returning to Korn, I would respectfully ask how many people have they shared their faith with and gave the plan of Salvation to over the last 5 years. Brian was led back to Korn to mend the fence with his friends in the band he truly loves and grew up with. He was led back to bring the Gospel to those people very few believers would approach. It's a message that Christ stands at the door and knocks at ALL people's hearts asking to be invited in to dwell forever. I've met Brian on 2 separate occasions and all I can say is that he is the real deal...a man that the Holy Spirit shines through. I've been a Christian for 48 years. I've been around a lot of Believers. Brian is the perfect example of what a genuine Christian actually is. I've only met a few other people in my life that shine and reflect The Spirit like Brian does. Two of them are friends and the other is a singer/songwriter named Steven Curtis Chapman. Take heart. Christ is at work more than we know. Peace to you -

This really hits home for me I am going through something simmilar overcoming and battling addiction i feel connected with God but guilty at the same time I really am happy for you and that you were able to conquer your Demond's and that you are where you want to be with your daughter and especially that Jesus has searched your heart and saved you and your daughter !! Whether or not he's true, God has a way of using anyone and anything to call his children to Him. I believe Brian's sincere and we should continue to pray for him. We fall down sometimes but we get up. He will fall but he'll get up...once we as believers on the same journey he's on continue to support each other. Brian, Thank You for being completely honest. It's the honesty that makes you completely available for The Lord to use you to really reach others in their hearts to help them clearly see that you know about pain, despair, etc. And then they can really trust that you're honest about what you're saying about Jesus too. As I watched this video, something was bothering me. I watched it a couple more times and was asking The Lord what was bothering me about it. And I felt that He put it one my heart to give you this scripture: Matthew 22:37-39.

I've been thought a lot with this crippling stuff. 2000 was bad ended up in jail lost my business Ect. almost family. sober few years after. Soon it was another bad economy 2012. Lost all 9 guys that worked for me. Jail again didn't want to call the wife. She got me again. She is a superpower. I still know I have to find the Lord. These videos are giving me hope to change my life lay my hands out kneel and pray for the help I need to stay sober. Ya know anything can trigger a relapse. Thank you all for this. You've saved my life with my wife and family. Oh and also just lost both my parents with in months. If that don't want ya to drink. Lol

I don't believe in the Holy God but this was good. His feelings of acceptance and validation reading the book and with the help from close believers giving him those words and connection. THAT'S what helped me beat my own addiction. Good stuff.

I really wish I could be connected with God again. Just have that peaceful, loving relationship I remember having. It's just that there was a time, in fact many times when I was in need of having an empty space in my life filled and after constantly ask God for help it never came. Even to this day that space is empty and even though I want to pray and connect with God again I feel I can't risk trusting in Him again since I just felt so abandoned before.

Very touching story from Brian. I personally do not believe in Jesus/God, but I feel there has to be something. I could be wrong maybe I will find out, maybe I won't. All I can say about his story when he talks about finding God and God giving him the power to quit drugs to save himself and his daughter, is that no matter if this actually happened or not he still managed to exterminate drugs from his life for the sake of his daughter and himself. Also if he wants to believe in God/Jesus and follow Christianity so be it, if it makes him happy and keeps him sane, then I say go for it. Just like with anything as long as you enjoy or like something that others don't fuck them it's not their life. I personally do not conform to one thing if I like it that's good enough for me.

I could understand how his relationship with his ex-wife haunted him. The Devil uses the past to try to get us to quit, to try to get us to blame other people for our pain, but the Lord always restores what has been broken. The fact that he committed his life to his daughter is absolutely beautiful! This dude had everything he could have: Drugs, fame, money, and women and it still did not satisfy. Praise God he turned his life over to Jesus!
