A Feast For Crows is my favourite game of thrones book! You spend time with the rotting carcass westeros has become due to the concequences of the war, which is something very vital. Brienne is probably my favourite pov in this book. You get to see her idyllic view on honour and chivalry, slowly decay. Jamie and Cersei are close seconds. The glimpses into the iron islands and dorne are also stunning. Plus the chapter where aemon dies feels so tragic

George RR Martin is THE MAN. I think all the stuff surrounding Winds of Winter has over time distracted from the fact that his writing chops are so top notch.

agreed, 2/3rds of good stuff supercedes that

I read all these books in 2015, in a rush to get done before Winds of Winter released. Haha...shit.

I'm that 1 person. Thank you for not spoiling it for me, lol. I'm also that 1 person who has not read Harry Potter. I hope to start the ice and fire books soon. I'm on the fence because they are not finished. I'm just watching your reviews to see if they are worth starting. Nice video as always. Thank you.

Mr. Durfee, I can gladly and proudly say my copy of The Blackest Heart has arrived and now completes my physical copies of the trilogy. Very stoked to finish off the last two!

I think it’s easy to forget how amazing these novels are when we get caught up in the annoyance of waiting for TWOW. I’ve only read the series once but it’s been my favorite by far ever since. Feast was always my least favorite of the five though. And Arya is my favorite character. Can’t wait to read them again!

I am the one out of a gazillion who has never experienced A Song of Ice and Fire nor have I seen the TV show. I have just purchased the series in paperback and am eager to begin the journey now that I am back from The Five Isles!

I am rereading a song of ice and fire, this time with the „a feast with dragons“timeline and I am really enjoying it. So much that I even like the Brienne chapters. good review.

Honestly, I was so pissed reading this when it came out. All side characters I didn’t care about. And tbh, I couldnt and still cant see where the series is heading.

Quick spoiler: neither can Martin, and it shows in the last two books. Moreover, we will never find out.
