The thing that used to eat at me on those cold bluebird days.. I knew they were catching them on that lake somewhere and I couldn't figure it out.. When you come to the scales and see the guys bringing in big limits ,I'd start fishing for any clues from other anglers as we chatted in line.. What did I miss?? That drove me bonkers at times because I wanted to learn. I would even go back out and fish till dark to learn something I missed that day. Go look at different stuff than I had fished. I know you can't do that with multi day tournaments. But on final day it's possible. 😅. My frustrations would make me learn everything about it. I wanted to be that guy holding that trophy. I burned some fuel to find out what I missed. Why they moved ! What they were eating if anything!! There are so many variables that take place each day. If you're not looking and listening you'll miss it.. I guess that's what separates the men from the boys. God luck this season bro.💪✌️😎

BLAT I fish that lake a lot and there are some pigs in there but I mostly pull out dinks. Good practice though but I would definitely recommend the umbrella ☂ rig to increase the numbers and size. Good luck ur definitely one of my top fisherman and thank u for all the knowledge u willingly share with us.

Years ago I was fishing ~-Red Man to get my invite to (Bass Master) and I knew I had it in the bag. Including I had 💯 My partner said go ahead and park I’ll grab the bag and meet you up at the stage I said ok. They call us up begin to total bam 💥 we’re in first then I say what about my big fish?!” As they’ve already pulled the bag limit. And then he pulls out my big fish and i realize what he’s done. Yep I had big fish and first place; Until they took my BIGFish for over counting the bag by my partner. Bad day

I have a question. How often, if there are no signs of abrasion, do you need to re-tie your knot? Can you keep the same knot for over a day? week? Also, when you put your rod up, you put the lure on the lure keeper on the pole, at the tip the line bends. Do we need to cut off the bend in the line? or is it ok to leave it on the line and fish? I have fished for years, and have always wondered.

Brian I love the z man jerk shad my favorite is the 7" on a Gama monster 7/0 EWG hook. I also fish it on a 4 to 5/0 hook and fish as a top water works great where I fish.

Love everything you do B, BUT… If you’re not going to fizz those deeper caught fish use fin clips they work! They will slowly right the fish and straighten the air bladder out. Good luck pal!!! I also feel like this lake needs the A-Rig slow rolled for that kicker. Just doesn’t seem to produce quality on the drop shot UNLESS you can find the bigger schools but it’s tough action.

I don't understand the nuances of these tournaments so I'm curious about why sometimes there's some random guy sitting in your boat and sometimes you're just fishing by yourself (like in this video). Clearly, they serve a role but are they just there as an observer or for some tournament promotional reason?
