At least for Brianna's sake, I believe she belongs in the 1700's. Because thats where she was conceived. Maybe thats why she was not able to return with Roger and their son the last time she tried.

She was thinking of home and it was no longer the future and college. Both Roger and Bri had made a bigger, better family in their short trip to the past than the future they grew in. They'll successfully return to the future when their daughter has health issues that could only be tackled in future.

So according to the writers of the series, i should believe that Brianna, a girl who supposedly from an early age is used to going to the woods, actually goes to the woods, go to the PAST, dressed as if she was going to a school play ?? , why they didn't make her wear pants and a shirt, and make her carry a backpack instead of that stupid handbag !! . The writers said that they wanted her to look (dressed) almost like Claire when she first travel, but again that's stupid !! , i would have preferred that they had made her dress as she was in the book !!!!! .

She was dressed in clothes that could more or less pass for what they wore during that time, in 18th century Scotland. It’s more illogical for her to dress after 60s fashions to willingly travel back in time, which would drive people from the 18th century to automatically be suspicious of her and perceive her strangeness, if not just straight forward take her for a witch or a prostitute or some other bad, unsubmissive kind of woman. Also, it’s a nod to how Claire was dressed in the books, cause when she went back the second time, she baught some badly tailored, gaudy ‘period’ dress from a costume shop that could pass for an 18th century dress, she didn’t make herself anything, like in the series, and she only thought she should have lined the clothes with some rain coat material only after she arrived back in time and realized it was good old rainy Scotland. Although Bree does wear pants in the books, what they did in the show is not unplausible. Maybe the bag she had could have been bigger, it does seem she basically went back without supplies or anything else that she might need.

She would have been recognised by different styles of clothing. Besides with Claire's first time it was an accident...but 2nd time she travelled with caution with her dressing style and Bree kind of followed that idea while traveling through the stones...

In the book they explain it much better. It's believed the stones "direct" your crossing if you love and want to reach someone. Ie claire thought of Frank to come back in 1948, and then of Jamie to get back in 1968. Brianna believes that if Roger stays in 68, she'll be able to cross back once she saves her mum as her love for him will direct her crossing. She never intends to go there to stay in the book.

Su padre es Frank, ella no conoció a Jamie, y puede que por Jamie este viva, pero eso no significa que le deba nada si no ha sido criada por él. Frank fue una gran persona y se portó maravillosamente tanto con Claire como con Brianna, aún cuando Claire lo engaño y lo trató bastante mal
