The original reason I stumbled across Jesse, I'd been a fugazi fan for decades, and was finding some interesting covers from various folks. His wasnt this version, it was far better. But, got me hooked! Shame he is gone, but life's an adventure eh? It was the "The Delousing Sessions" which drove it home. He will be missed.

God dammit I miss Jesse, I just found this video. Ive been listening to his music for a few years but I owe him a lot. I had been playing guitar for like five years before but I was never really any good, after I learned When Im Gone and Cold Beer I really broke out of my shell and it made me into the player I am today. If I hadnt discovered Jesse I probably would have quit playing guitar and I would definitely not be the same person I am today. Im glad that im still discovering music from him but this still makes me really sad because this is an amazing song, he was so talented

It absolutely kills me to see how much this man is judged on his worst actions when he was that little spark through so many of the hard times that lit my fire and kept me going. Screaming out cold beer with my friends on the side of the road trying to keep from freezing to death will always be one of my fondest memories. I and am sure many others really appreciate you posting these videos, as someone who had met Jesse a few times and considered a friend and saved my life when I was lost, any new footage of him makes me so happy and miss him even more. He once told me he'd been doing it for awhile but wasn't till like late 2017 that he actually found the meaning behind the song (suicide and substance abuse) and to this day it's incredible to me how much soul n passion the man put into the song before he even found out what it was about lmfao.
