Brick Tinting

In this video, I'll be tinting bricks to colour match the bricks to the existing building. We do this by painting the bricks with a brick stain we have several different colours of brick dye In which we paint the bricks different colours to add to a more natural uniform look. we will match the existing bricks wall in which you can at the end of the video.

Looks good. You can take a staining pad and cut it down to the size of the bricks, and make the work a bit faster and easier.

Does it indeed transfer like a stamp?

@@BhamHill No, you still use it like a brush/pad. I meant you could make it about the height of a brick so you don't have to go back and forth as much and it makes it a little easier to stay inside the lines. :)

Are there any updates you can provide 3 years in? How does this product weather? How does it affect the structure of the brick? Also, is there any particular reason you wouldn’t have stained the bricks before laying them?

I work for Merlin Repairs Surface Repairs Specialists and we do Brick Tinting, we use Steadfast also, personally I would of probably added a bit of Coffee Brown into the Burnt Orange to slightly darken it and maybe would of gone for 2 coats for a deeper Colour as it can dry a bit on the pale side, but a decent job in general.

Hi I want to make my bricks lighter an some even different shades how can I get them lighter as they seem quite orangey

Hi there I would try using a lighter colour the products are used were by a company called total wall care and they have a product called limed wash I suggest you try on a Brick that's not that obvious and see if it helps get the colour to something more in keeping with what you wanted. You can buy several colours and mix in together making your own colours. Good luck
