Thank you for reviewing these cell phones which otherwise would be forgotten peices of history, gone with the wind.

Don't know if they sell it in the UK, but powdered graphite is great for lubricating plastics. It's non conductive, non corrosive and not wet and not sticky or gummy. I have a tube in my garage from the 1950's and I use it to lubricate my PlayStation analog sticks.

MrWolfSnack Never even heard of it....will check my local home depot store or whatever they have around here where I am. thanks for the tip though.

Vintage Cellular Mobile Phones I'd def give it a try, it fixed my PS analog sticks after I tried oil before and totally ruined a controller. Luckily it was just a common PS2 controller.

I've come across this Nokia phone on eBay selling for $100 labeled the Nokia 211. Can't find any information of it online. It came in a box labeled "TalkAlong from USWest". Trying to figure out whether it's Analog or GSM 1900. Looking for a GSM 1900 phone. This one is from the United States. Ever heard of it before?

Here is a picture of it: nokiamuseum.info/nokia-211/ Might I also add the owner explained to me the phone was purchased new in 1995. It was originally released December 1992.

Hi . Just brought a Motorola Startac mr501 on the Orange off EBay . Can you advise me where I can get an unlock clone sim to purchase like the one in the video . Or if you can assist or direct me in unlocking this wonderful phone I'll be most grateful. Thanks !!!😀

+Net Cable Hi. merry christmas! the Unlock SIM that removes the service restriction and then allows any SIM to be used in the phone is one that a fellow motorola engineer gave me many years ago. Unfortunately he has since passed away so I don't know where you would buy one - my guess is there are not for sale to end users anyways. I will in january when I'm back from tour probably set up a PO box and offer some sort of unlock for these old phones. There has been lots of people asking me for this and I feel obliged to help. Naturally if the phone is in any way tampered with whatsoever then I'll decline as I don't want to burn my fingers holding stolen goods or anything. give me a mail in late january and I'll advidse.

Aqui no Brasil, infelizmente o StarTAC só foi lançado na rede CDMA que anos mais tarde foi substituída pela rede GSM; assim como o MicroTAC e vários outros.

Kent Channel TV well I don't regard startacs as bricks so I've been hesitant to do videos about them! Glad to see such a positive response. thanks for your comments and support!

+Holby startac batteries are still widely available online from numerous american battery websites. I think you'll probably even find them on ebay.com

@BrickCellphones7 жыл бұрын
I get asked that alot.....truth is I don't actually know exactly how many....but I do know it's way more than a 1000 because i've catalogued over 800 and there are still so many crates and boxes in storage to go through. why do you ask?

@BrickCellphones9 жыл бұрын
why would you want a GSM startac then? You would never be able to use a GSM900 european model in Arizona!!
@Super_Charged4life9 жыл бұрын
soo there is no gsm startac that will work on tmobile? in the us?
@BrickCellphones9 жыл бұрын
Oh there is but NOT the european models. the only two startacs that are GSM and accept SIM cards that will work in the USA/Canada are the Startac 7000G and the startac 8000G. They both operate on GSM 1900. All european GSM models of startacs operate either on GSM 900 or GSM 1800. GSM 1800 is not the same as GSM 1900. The two are not interoperable or compatible. 7000G's and 8000G's are super rare though. I only have a 7000G. I don't even have an 8000G as I've never been offered one. T-mobile in the USA operates on GSM1900 so the 7000g or the 8000g will work. You might need to get it unlocked though. See my other video on how this is done.

Orange never operated on Palestine, only in Israel (licensed by Partner Communications). In "Palestine" they have other operators, such as Jawwal and Wataniya Telecom. Also in "Palestine" they write in Arabic, not in Hebrew. Make your facts right
@BrickCellphones9 жыл бұрын
Michael Rabeno Well last time I was in Palestine there was definitely Orange service as well as Jawwal, Pelephone and Wataniya....but the Mirs (iDen) was not available in Palestine. Let's not get into a debate of Arabic and Hebrew. that would get messy.
