I'm working on a CBX now that I got for $10 on marketplace 😂. It came in a bunch of boxes but is totally complete. Even came with new carb rebuild kits! My main holdup is the engine is so damn heavy I can't really do anything with it currently. I need to come up with a rolling stand and probably a hoist. Also trying to decide what to do about paint. The tank and fender have been repainted at some point, they look decent but definitely not anywhere near the standard a CBX buyer will want. Also the engine was repainted black for some reason, and poorly. I'd like to get the engine back to silver but I don't want to tear it down. Good to follow along for inspiration! I wish I was more ambitious to film 😅

I wouldn't say most Iconic. They were stamped out pieces of sht back then. I owned a 750, and a riding buddy owned a 900. Yeah, the engines weren't bad if you took care of them, but ill handling and under powered. Then again, all the Jap bikes back then were ill handling pieces of crap. The most iconic Honda's IMO, were the 68 thru 74 CB750's.

What an awesome find! So badass. Can’t wait to see the next video! Keep us updated buddy. About to buy a hat after the holidays, shopping for kids Christmas has killed me, Dad doesn’t get anything, but I picked up a super nice 1975 750 for only 400$ and it’s actually in really good condition. Engine turns over great, barely any rust in the tank, the frame is solid with barely any rust. I already got the points sparking, and someone actually used non-ethanol fuel in it, so everything is clean inside the carbs and functioning. Been re-watching your chopper restore and barn find videos getting some ideas on what steps I want to take with everything. I appreciate all your content honestly. About using the correct gasoline! At that time, Japan had already been using "green" UNLEADED petrol for several years from the mid-1970s. We in Europe were still driving with "red" leaded petrol at that time, with the result that after having driven thousands of km (with mine CBX 25000km) the engine no longer turn idled. Checking the problem showed that almost all cylinders lost compression!!! When opening the cylinder head, the mechanics saw small cracks between the valve seats!!! It has taken Honda-Europa a lot of time to get behind this problem. I remember when I picked up my new cylinder head at Honda-Belgium in Aalst, there were already dozens of cylinder heads on the floor with the same small cracks between the valve seats.Since then I tank Unleaded 98 Oct. I haven't had any more engine problems. So if you own a CBX, ALWAYS TANK UNLEADED PETROL !!! and don't add leaded supplements... because you already hear that said for "old-timers" So again... DON'T DO supplements IN !!! it was in 1978 when Honda released this CBX! I bought it in July of that year. Two years later I had crossed all of Europe (Northern Cape / Tarifa) and as far as East Asia Gürbulak. I had 56,000 Miles on the counter! The CBX is still in my possession. Until today I still drive it! 👍
