Custom Suzuki GS450 Scrambler - FIRST START / New Coils / Plug Wires - Repair Series EP8

The custom GS450 Scrambler lives again after I button everything up and install new Dynatek ignition coils and spark plug wires. In this video I also show you some wiring tips for soldering, heat shrink, and crimping. Now that the bike is running the tuning process has started over so we aren't out of the woods just yet but we are close! Stay tuned for more episodes on diagnosing a difficult issue on an old bike.

Well I don't have any experience with the Accel on bikes. I don't want to say I prefer one as they are both likely quality pieces. I have however had continued success with dynatek

@@BrickHouseBuilds Thank you, I'll look into some Dyna's! The Accel have been harder to find in stock than the Dynatek, but many have said they are very similar in performance.

@BrickHouseBuilds are you using the same OEM B8ES spark plugs? I'm doing this conversion on my GS450L and would like to know if the original plugs can be used or if the resistance will be off.

@eliotsell7483 This was so long ago that I have no idea what plugs were in the bike but you should at least try to use what plugs you have. No damage would occur and if it doesn't work you can easily change to a resistor plug.

They are linked. 3ohm coils. They are universal and not exact fit

You can refer to your stock wiring diagram in your service manual for that. Models change by year so my info may not match.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve not had any luck with those sites. I’m told the rings are discontinued. I have a set for one cylinder. Looking for one more. Part number 12140-44110. Any help is greatly appreciated!
