The trowel magnet looks handy with the blocks mate. I'll have to get my hands on one soon.

Water barrels for production. You can get your batches out quicker. Mortar gun? Is that for blowing in joints? Do you have “grout bags/blow bags”? I really enjoy these video’s 👍 It’s interesting to me to see masonry in Australia. I’m a recently retired bricklayer after 45 years. Keep up the good work!

Holy crap. A 13" marshalltown trowel here in the U.S is about $40 USD. Let me know when you need one. I wonder how much it is to ship out there?

I swear by carrying a drum to every site but it's each to their own. Not always access to water on site I found for me anyway.
@aussie81143 жыл бұрын
You can gauge the water far more easily using a drum and bucket rather than a hose. But as you say each to their own. There’s something rather hypnotically satisfying standing there with the hose 😂
@dragginmedown3 жыл бұрын
@@aussie8114 If you have wet sand you can’t gauge it too well though
@aussie81143 жыл бұрын
@@dragginmedown That’s true. You just need to add much less water from the bucket. Maybe 1/2 bucket in the empty mixer then look at the mix as it’s going around. If the sand is really wet that 1/2 bucket may even be enough for the whole mix. I still think bucket is a more sure bet than trying to judge it by the hose, but each to their own. Hose can be ok.
@THURMANaus3 жыл бұрын
It's quicker with a drum as well. Especially if there's only one tap and you're using a saw so you don't have to keep taking the hose. Also nothing used to shit me more than watching the labourer standing there pointing the hose in to the mixer.

The Trowels are worth the money,I use the London narrow w rose soft grib handle (white and blue handle) and it's the best trowel I've ever used,but on the price subject,man everything is super expensive in that shop 40$ for snips?! I have those exact ones and I'm pretty sure they aren't worth 40,knifes 30? The place is definitely expensive,I bet money you could save over 100$ if you buy things like lines line pins blocks from the big branches like total tools, I've seen the exact same clamp for 8$ less at the big tool branches, buy 4 of them you saved 32$,it's definitely worth having a look at prices online,and also the quality is usually the same aswell (same brands just different prices)it will save you if you just take a couple of minuets to drive around no biggie 👍

Definitely not hating on technique tools but they are a bit pricey, went to a local shop looking for trestles as they were closed and they had the same trestles (labelled and all) for $30 cheaper. Technique tools has EVERYTHING though so pay for the convenience of shopping all in one
