I have a BT Brick saw, they are great, 2 things though... you should try not to use it on the back of the ute like that becasue you become the ground/earth for any current lost into the metal frame of the saw, i know because i used to do the same thing and got shocked a couple of times. (Bianco saw though, same thing principle) Second, you can use a 16" blade on the BT.. just modify the guard at the front with a angle grinder, you can then cut besser blocks and bricks on the end alot easier.. only thing is... the 2000watt motor works.. but its probably on its limit rotating it.. it works fine.. youll know what i mean if you have to cut anything really hard and big. Sydney tools does 5 16" huskys for like $300 last time i checked...

Hey Mate besides the acid pressure clean we do a week after we finish the entire job. If we have some smears on the face you might of seen in this video my dad scrubbing the faces with a scourer similar to a rough carpet piece and I find that really takes off any layers of cement on the face of the brick

@@hendosbricklaying2003 thanks for the reply! That's good to know for next time I have a mailbox or something I might want to keep clean or even avoid acid all together,I'll keep this in mind,cheers

Why don’t you use concrete blocks for the rendered sections? Uk bricky asking
@hendosbricklaying2003
@hendosbricklaying2003 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ricky. We very rarely use blocks over here especially in residential building, we don’t supply sand and bricks whatever the job has will be supplied by the builder

@@hendosbricklaying2003 crazy block is cheaper in cost and quicker to lay as less labour costs 🤷🏼‍♂️ each to there own. Nice brickwork though son👍🏼

@@Ricky-xc7cx I know the blocks you guys use in the UK and we don't have them here,we have the blocks that are meant for core filling and also blocks that are the same dimension as a brick,but only difference is the height which is double, but moral of the story we don't use them here because I think we are too used to building bricks and it's a hassle trying to get some sort of block you can't find anywhere,we also have purpose made common bricks which are very cheap scratch face bricks which help the render to stick due to the ruff face of it,for 400 it's about 260$ which is decent and the builders always use them,even for internal walls in double brick buildings,I guess the bricks would be stronger than the blocks also

Lovely work buddy. Said many times but what a waste of money all them facing bricks getting covered in render. A hope you still get the same price for laying them. In Uk would never get away building a with clay finished brick for render. Always use have to take back the beds for render in Scotland nowadays see down England up hear wanting a pointed finish on blockwork madness really. Crazy how all different parts of world see things. Hae we are just to build lol. Keep up the good work buddy.

I get a brick cutter. No way I’m wasting time cutting bricks. Power to you through.

If we have enough splits in the job or cuts I usually order a brick cutter in too. But these jobs are quite good the builder has the drawings down and most panels work brick lengths. Same with gauge. Just a bit safer, I’m sick of eating brick dust with a grinder 🤣

@@hendosbricklaying2003 fair enough mate. Not wrong, the grinder is a back breaker, and the dust makes you feel like shit, especially when it’s hot
