nice job to be on budd something different , a lot of houses in london were built without proper footings they used to bond the bricks wide and gradually corbelled to 9" "a spread footing" and still standing

Hi as an apprentice I’m labouring quite a bit I haven’t laid much and starting fresh I mostly am labouring , have you any advice on how long I should be labouring for and what I should do to change that thanks

When I started the old master who taught me , told me that to be a good bricklayer you had to be a good labourer, so for many months I had to do all the labouring and just get on the trowel when I could and do all the pointing up , then one day you just gradually get on the trowel full time, but the old boy was right you have to be a good labourer first , but that’s just how I got started, all the best just stick at it 👍
