Good job Steve and Alex. Looks good and solid and done right. One of these days you will get an easy one and be home, feet up with a cuppa, by 4pm😊

Bloody marvellous teamwork. A masterclass in professionalism. Love the way you communicate constantly when moving the heavy lintels even when you are obviously tired and chasing the clock. Thankfully you concentrated on the lintels.....better to do one job properly than two jobs bably. Double thumbs up from me 👍👍

Hi guys, nice job. Just a quick question, where do you get the Milwaukee tools from. I am thinking of changing brands but I can not find a local supplier in the Midlands. I am not too keen of online shops as Ive had problems before.

Chaps, What was the end bearing on those two existing lintels - 50 or 60 mm.? I have seen much worse than that, and no doubt so have you. I am in no way condoning work like that - it is wrong and goes against all good structural principals. Despite that the house has been standing for 50+ years... There is a decent sized brickwork pier to the left of those lintels, to relieve the load/forces placed upon it from the wall(s) above. However, as I always used to say, "It is either right - or its wrong." and that minimal seating is certainly "wrong." So well done on the correct rectification of that job - with the correct seating. Pukka work as ever from the Lancashire - Lintel -Lifting-Lads. 😁😁👍👍👍👍👍🦺🧱🧱

I was told only the other day by a structural engineer as I was packing in a lintel like you are using building sand and cement that a better option would be to use washed/grit sand as much less likely to shrink when drying , what’s your thoughts on this , I didn’t argue with him I did what he asked as he was on site at the time
