Putting one of these in my back garden. Just taken 40 tonne of topsoil off and it was sloped. House behind is higher as well. Hottest day of year and my lawn is a swamp. Looking at putting in a French drain with one of these at the end then connecting to an inspection rodding drain. Good job these vids are on yt as I wouldn't have a clue otherwise

Hi Jaya365, have exactly the same problem. Waiting for better weather to put my 150mm double skinned pipe french drain and soakaway in.

Jeez £300 + for that 🤯 . I made my own at our old house . A couple of plastic IC rings . Concrete base 1 pipe In 1 pipe out about 100 mm above the base so any silt collects at the bottom . No fancy filter to pull out , a gardeners trowel sufficed for clearing it out . Jobs a good n 👌🏼🧱👍🏽

Its a bit deap for that but i do agree its a ridiculous price for it but they were all the same prices .The client can maintain it easily so im happy but yea you could make your own steve no issue with that . It did go in quick and easy so i fitted it for free so 👍

Fairy Liquid isn’t good to use on rubber o-rings or seals. Fairy and Dawn detergents are petroleum based. Which is why they’re such good cleaners but they’ll degrade plain rubber.

Yea thought as much people dont realise do they .Thanks for clearing that up . Justin 👍

@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Yeah I find it really odd when people wilfully do something without knowing if it’s ok or not. Their response might be “But I didn’t know that”. Well, not-knowing is why you shouldn’t have done it, not why you should! It’s arse-backwards.

@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping btw, great vid. I wouldn’t have found this if you hadn’t split the vids into parts. I was only interested in a simple silt trap for a pond inlet that is filled by surface runoff. I’ll probably run 2 of these inline. Cheers!
