So... my best friend and I had a falling out right before my engagement so I dont know what to do. I'm planning on having my cousin and my old roommate as bridesmaids but my cousin is a minor and my old roommate is in another country now. I love my coworkers and we hang out a lot but I dont want a large bridal party and all of them are older than me (2 of them are 25 years older than me). Is it rude to ask them to be honorary brides maids?

Hi thanks for the advice in this video I wish I had actually found this before picking and informally asking my bridal party as two of them when I found the dress just basically didn’t show support at all or even got excited they both haven’t really helped with the planning etc either and both told me to just make a folder of all my ideas and what they need to do and wear on the day and what I’m paying for etc and what they need to pay for and give it to them the month before

So I'm thinking I might have to make the difficult decision of not asking my fiancé's sister to be a bridesmaid... I love her and we get on so well, but, we are on a budget and there are 3 definite ladies who I already want as my bridesmaids (my best friend, my mums best friends daughter (who I grew up with who was practically a sister to me all my life), and my brothers wife who is such a nice person who I get on with well, felt like a sister to me from really early on). I feel like my to-be sister in law I would love to have if money was not a priority but unfortunately for us we are on a budget and an extra bridesmaid means a lot of extra cost! 3 bridesmaids is enough I think... I'm sure my fiancé's sister will not mind either or expect to be asked by me. I wanted to rush and tell her as soon as we were engaged that I'd love her to be my bridesmaid but I'm really glad I didn't do that now. Hopefully I can honour her at the wedding in other ways ❤️
