In case anyone is curious, after some digging, i found them on Facebook lol 😂 they got married in 2018 and had one more baby shortly after. They were married on the beach and she wore this dress! ❤️ She had every right to be confident about their relationship, it’s obvious now he wanted to marry her no matter what! 😌

I don't get why they are so obsessed over the fact he hasn't proposed yet. She said they've already booked everything and are clearly planning to get married. If they've both agreed and are planning already, what's the point of a symbolic gesture with an unnecessarily expensive ring? It may be less romantic but talking about it and mutually deciding to it is more practical.

My husband was so naive, he didn't know about proposal ring at all. He thought that was the same ring as the wedding one. So he proposed to me without any ring and party. And for some months I even hided this from everyone as we have been dating just for 3 months by that time.

I have a super honest question for your mom...does she resent having to ask him? God's honest question. My boyfriend and I want to get married, but he has an executive functioning disorder and struggles with time and task management, so he hasn't proposed yet. At times, I've chewed on the idea of asking him, even though I've always dreamed of being the one to say "yes!" It happens in my country, where proposals aren't traditional but have become popular in recent years as just a sweet gesture made AFTER the whole marriage planning is sorted

Yep, my cousin and her (now) husband did it this way round. They visited a barn and both thought “wow, this would be a beautiful place to get married” and booked it then and there. He then proposed a few months later. They’re from the US, so it’s an unconventional way of doing it there, but it worked out!

I don’t know why are people complaining he hasn’t proposed. They are making a wedding in a couple of months! If they are doing this that means he wants to marry her! An engagement doesn’t guarantee he will stay with her. People break off engagements all the time. She has two kids with him so maybe they wanted to save on an engagement ring and have a wedding and buy wedding rings instead! Some people are practical like that. My mother never had an engagement ring just married my dad and have been married for 35 years! It’s about the commitment and the intention at the end of the day not the material stuff.

@@isbeanbee5747 clickbaity and just so incredibly disrespectful. They were obviously planning to get married. So why judge on how they agreed on it. Hollywood just got into people's heads too much. People get married for a multitude of reasons and looking around in my circle of friends I just know of three couples who did "traditional" proposals. Two of these couples never got married in the first place. For the others it was rather a very unromantic serious discussion about deciding to get married. They are all in happy marriages now and have a wedding ring to show it.

after hearing her story it actually makes sense that she hasn't received a "formal" proposal. They already live together and have 2 kids, it feels like a natural progression to get married and plan a wedding since they are already sure of their relationship. exactly. when my boyfriend (now ex-husband) and I decided to get married he simply said, I have been thinking and feel we should get married. So blase as if he was talking about the weather. I could have agreed and we organised a wedding and that be that, and would be same as them. He later on that evening, got down on one knee and formally propose. So I interpret as he hasn't formally proposed and got a ring, but they have decided as a couple to marry

I'm confused. Why is she spending all this time and money when he hasn't done the same yet? I don't know how things are where she lives, but in my country, it doesn't matter if you have two kids with someone, they can still chose to not marry you. And even if they talked about marriage, talk is cheap until both partners are showing equal steps to get to the marriage.

My impression is that they planned it together. They had a date set and everything. But he hadn't gotten the ring yet. Maybe he was saving up or something. But they have 2 kids and planned the date. I like that there was no proposal. It's a rare find. Makes me realize you don't need a ring, a fancy proposal, and getting down on one knee to get married. It's so embedded in our brains that there's a right/wrong order leading up to the big day. Why do men "need" to propose? We don't know the circumstances behind why he hasn't proposed yet, just because she doesn't have a ring doesn't mean he doesn't want to get married. My boyfriend had plans to propose earlier this year but because of the COVID restrictions his plans got cancelled and he wants it to be special so he has been waiting for the restrictions to lift to propose. I'm still hoping for a 2021 wedding though so I have some things like my dress already.

That's very practical. My boyfriend and I were making a trip and passed a beautiful venue. We agreed it would be a nice place to get married in. I told him there and then specifically, that if he ever wanted to get married, he might want to propose? He proposed the same evening. Since we knew each other SO well, because we were best friends before we fell in love, we decided to buy the pastry before we got engaged that day, since the shop was closing. It was a lovely proposal though and I said yes. My sister couldn't believe her ears, when I told her about our engagement. "But you're only dating for 10 days!" she exclaimed. Which was true. We didn't consider each other for marriage, until one weird day we kissed. That's not what best friends usually do. We thought it would never work and both were afraid to lose this beautiful friendship, so with dread in our voices we mutually decided, that we obviously behaved like boyfriend and girlfriend and that we hoped this wouldn't ruin our friendship. Once we got used to the idea, we were quickly seeing a marriage partner in each other. We married 6 months later. We are married for almost 32 years now.
