Guys there's garments that have been worn once and in worse condition than this dress. We could use the Marilyn dress as a for instance. It's been also kept in proper climate controlled rooms and hasn't survived as well. The sweating , movement etc each lady would have done. The cleaning of the garment for the next to wear also would cause stress as well. Yes it's only 8 times but just keeping it in that length of time in good condition is an insane feat.

What's even MORE amazing is that the dress does not look like it was ever altered to fit into contemporary styling. That being said, the style was pretty timeless. Great story!

Brilliant comparison. I love the two movies “Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants” and “Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants II”. Such a good teen-movie about the evolving friendships of four girls with very different personalities and home life situations and aspirations, bound together by friendship and the wonder of the pair of jeans that fit all four girls perfectly, despite the fact that they’re all different body shapes and sizes. (Blake Lively (Bridget) America Ferrera (Carmen) Amber Tamblyn (Tibby) Alexis Beidel (Lena) with Jenna Boyd (Bailey) Michael Rady (Kostas) Leonardo Nam (Brian) & Blythe Danner (Greta - Bridget’s gran). I’ve probably watched both movies at least 4 times each.
