Im a dance teacher and I work with wedding couples on their first dances quite often. I once had a bride that was so stressed out that she cried every time she was in the studio. I just felt bad for her. She wasnt mean, she was just having a miserable experience.

this show really is golden if you like petty drama. the first 3 seasons or so felt somewhat tame, most brides were clearly just bad at handling the stress of it all. But it quickly became very scripted. the episodes lucas watched are i think around seasons 8 or 9, and by then it definitely felt scripted a lot of the time.

At the bakery I used to work at right out of high school the owner had a strict "no bridezilla" policy that stated if you abused the workers in ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM, you lost your cake or your reservation for one. No warning or negotiation..just gone. In the time I worked there I witnessed maybe 5 times of this happening. One time the bride losing her cake the day before the wedding for screaming in our counter clerks face for accidentally adding up an invoice wrong.

Okay so I actually was chosen to be on this show and went through the whole process and pulled out. They PUSHHHH you to come up with any old drama in your family and friend group and bring it back to life. For example, I told them my mother in law(who is a baker and is great at her job) was making my cake and the guy was like, “don’t you hate her baking isn’t it gross? She is gonna mess it up won’t she!? Oh no!!!!” 😂 I was worried that I wasn’t “really mean enough” but they said that wasn’t a problem because they would help move the story line along. They had me wanting to fight bridesmaids and I did have one bridesmaid who I had to cut from my wedding and they wanted me to wait until shooting. I eventually pulled out because they really wanted me to make my husband look like an idiot. I am very glad I chose not to. You don’t get paid by the way, they pay for you honeymoon in the form of a cruise or something cheap. Then they would pay for us to get nails, hair, and things like that. Lol it was a messssss.

ALSO my friend went to a wedding where the bride was a bride zilla, had it out of town and everyone rode in together. She kept telling my friend that she had a way for everyone to get back home. Also that they were gonna all stay at a nice hotel. Nah. They stayed at her families house where there was no room for anyone so sll the bridesmaids had to sleep on cat pee carpet. Then, she stranded my friend. Shes like no one contact me im on honeymoon now. No one was planned to take her back. She abandoned her in a town where she didnt know anyone. She had to call her parents that lived 2 hours away to come pick her up. They are no longer friends

Honestly I think working in a place with a lot of people and occasionally some bad people is a good thing. It gives you life skills like how to deal with ignorant, rude or annoying people and I'm sure one day it'll give you some good gossip or stories to tell your future children if they ask about the job you work/used to work at. Sure, working with annoying and rude people is stressful but it's also part of the job and I don't think anything should take you away from letting you get the job you want, even the stressful or annoying aspects of it. We've all been rude or annoying at some point in our lives, it's just a human thing to not want to interact with people every now and then but as long as you own up to it and think, 'ok, I was really rude, what can I do to make up for it?' or 'It won't happen again', then there's always a second chance. Another awesome video from Lucas, thanks for making us all smile :)
