Jad, after partner opens with 1 club or 1 dimond and if i have 19 HCP plus 1 LP and a 5 long Hearts card, how much would you reccomend to reply? 1 H or 2 H ? wich is the rule here ?

Hi Bogdan. 2H shows 19+ points and a decent 5+ heart suit.

@@jadbridge another curious bid I met on BBO : i opened 1 S, partner replied 4 C . Luckily BBO allways ads a comment regarding any bid, so i saw that his bid meant " splinter --1 --in clubs 4+ S with 13 to 16 total points . Indeed after I replied 4 S his hand after becoming Dummy was void in Clubs, all other colours were biddable with 5 S . What kind of convention is that? This is sometimes so confusing . Indeed it was sucessfull because we made 11 tricks , but I allways have to be very careful at the BBO explanations

Hi Bogdan. A double jump like this is usually a splinter bid but be careful because it could be a suit use of Gerber. I will cover both of these topics in the extensions series.
