Bridge to the Turnabout Ending: Alternate Scenario (Objection.lol)

An alternate scenario to the Bridge to the Turnabout credits. Essentially, the whole main Fey family branch dies with the exception of Maya... as it was planned to be in earlier drafts of BttT, apparently. So... expect the characters to be slightly or a lot more down than they usually are. Sadge. :(

The unreal part about this ending is that Phoenix and Maya would even be able to handle Pearl's death this easily, they should be completely devastated.

I can't have *both* Phoenix and Maya depressed smh. If they were, I doubt Phoenix would be able to finish the case, which in this, he clearly did.

@@razorratproductions3499 I think Phoenix would be super motivated to find the truth about who kills his precious Pearls actually and he would never forgive Godot for it, we know Phoenix can hold a grudge. For Maya, the reason she was able to smile at the end of the original ending was because of Pearly, Misty might be her mother but the truth is she was not present in most of Maya life. Pearl's death will completely wreck her, I don't think she would even care about godot. It will take her a longer time to recover from that tragedy, maybe for Phoenix, the last person closest her.

This is rather interesting ending. My headcanon is that Maya would stick around with Phoenix for a while, and thus... she would save him later during Gramaye's trial. There could be a blessing in a curse, after all.

So basically in this timeline. Pearl successfully channel Dahlia killed Misty before getring killed herself by Godot. God, imagine seeing both Misty and Pearl being impale by Shichishito. That would be a very grim sight.

This whole ending was very well done. It’s a great alternative to the original ending that was provided in the games and still provided a bittersweet ending. With all that being said: Maya needs a hug.

I had heard about this ending before , and am glad it never was made into the real one . Pearls never deserves to die like this .( She is such an angel ! ) . We're both looking forward to Marcey's Reacquainted Turnabout , I'm sure . Not sure if more details about this ending exists outside of wiki's and fan sites, but I'd just interpret “Maya is the last remaining Fey Clan member” as it implying that Pearl was actually adopted or something. Shu Takumi loved writing for Pearl, so I doubt that any version where she dies would actually pass. If anything, keeping Pearl part of the family was probably to keep the can of worms sealed shut on trying to open more possible gifted Spirit Mediums outside of the Fey Clan. What's stopping future writers from making every new installment feature yet another Spirit Medium and treading the same story beats covered in the OG trilogy instead of using characters with different skill sets like Trucy and Athena? (As we've learned from SOJ, not much.) It's the same reason why the creators of TMNT had a falling out over Venus and the mere concept of another Ninja Turtle. If writers got it in their head that they can write new members of the family, what's stopping them from adding a f*ckton more, or even replacing one or more of the main 4 just for their own OC's? I also don't know if the early drafts also changed the Dahlia/Iris twist. I'd guess that they'd initially went with some typical early draft ideas that you'd see lets players speculate on (Dahlia gained amnesia, she has a split personality, or she just honestly wants to change), which got me thinking of another possibility in those early drafts… Iris could've died near the end of that case. The tragedy of Phoenix never being able to properly reciprocate his feelings to her before she passed truly taking the bittersweet route to T&T's ending. Or she was never alive during the events of Bridge to Turnabout, Dahlia killing her and pretending to be her. Even had Phoenix learned that he was dating Iris and not Dahlia, he'd get that same feeling of loss that Maya had for unknowingly losing her mother and not being able to spend time with her when she went to Hazakura Temple. It's also possible that Dahlia/Iris could've never been related to the Fey family and Dahlia/Morgan schemed together simply because they had a common goal.

Even if Pearl was adopted... that'd still really sting for both Phoenix and Maya. It's more bittersweet than just having Pearl die, but both scenarios are hard for Maya, especially.

Part of me would like to make my own Objection.Lol on that Early Draft with what it could've looked like, but now I'm questioning if it'd even be a good watch. It still has the bones of 3-5, but you'd miss-out on Edgeworth as the Defense, Feenris, and is overall a worse version of 3-5. It also doesn't help that after T&T is Phoenix's disbarment and AJ. Making the what-if continue after that would just feel too fanficy. Compare that to say, a trial where Phoenix and Apollo swap bodies and are made to live their respective lives with friends and in court. That concept can be taken to whatever direction the writer chooses and could happen anywhere within their respective timelines in spite of it being a heavily used trope, especially in fanfics.

i wounder how this would change events in the series phoenix wright visiting a kurian exibit every now and then, maya sleeping at random spots around the office only to wake from a nightmare everytime or even locations named like fey memorial park, the possibilitys are endless though im just rambling at this point, though i have to admit this was a well thoughout video with all the changes done in it kudos

Okay first of all... why does Bikini and Iris have to die ;-; Especially Bikini who isn't even part of the Main Family and such a kind woman. Now how all this happened... I imagine Pearl actually managed to channel Dahlia, but couldn't get through Maya since she was locked up if I recall... unfortunally she also found out about Elise's true identity and changed her plans... if she can't kill Maya, why not make her miserable by killing her own mother she was just reunited with? Dahlia managed to kill Misty... but it wasn't over, Dahlia had one final surprise for her Mother who didn't cared about her being executed... who only used her to make Pearl the next Master. As a final "screw you" to Morgan, Dahlia jumps off and leaves Pearls body, killing her by suicide.
