Just a warning, if it stays true to the books...it's only getting raunchier. Also, if it helps, all the Bridgerton siblings are alphabetical: oldest to youngest. Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. Very useful for keeping them straight until they have time to show their differences!

@@liambudd9834I think its a good thing because you have a fresh untainted view of the series, I feel like you get to enjoy it more for what it is since its not really an adaptation but more like loosely inspired in the books ..now if you dont mind changes, you can read them and enjoy the show all the same, either way if you're interested the books are a great read, very very fun, even more than the show itself...btw loved your reaction 🙂

The gossip sheets were a major source of entertainment in the Regency period along with theater, opera, boxing, and horse racing. So one could say that Gossip Girl got the idea from history. I love reading about the way of life in romances from Jane Austen, and novels by the Bronte sisters, Hardy etc but I'm so glad I didn't live during that time. I would not have been a Royal or a titled person. I would have been one of those Charles Dickens orphans or the people begging in the back alleys for jobs and food. 😘
