I know the scene where Cassandra breaks her sword while hitting the rock is supposed to demonstrate how strong the rocks are, but to me, that scene shows she can strike with enough force to shatter iron. Badass. Yeah, no one gets on her bad side.

The thing I adore about the opening song is this: King Frederic sees his daughter with the dress not pulled down and no shoes on, and declares that she is “perfect”. Yes, she doesn’t conform to expectations, but she is HIS daughter... and that makes her perfect in his eyes.

To be fair, Eugene only knew Rapunzel for a week longer than Cassandra at the most because Cassandra was assigned to her as soon as she moved into the castle.

Fun fact: the style of this show is meant to look like we're watching it from Rapunzel's journal entries where she paints everything. So the animation in lineless and bright because it's literally Rapunzel's paintings (that they actually consulted the head artist of her painting style from the original Tangled movie for.) That's why the intro for every episode starts with the camera panning into and over a 3D desk with the open journal. Because the Tangled universe IS still that 3D animation the movie was, we're just seeing it from the pov of Rapunzel through her journal.

I LOVE this show. The music is so good! It expands the lore on existing characters, and introduces amazing new ones. I cannot wait for you to meet a certain character with a devilishly good singing voice. 😉 I don't know if exactly the same, but the animation reminded me of that old cartoon 6teen. A corona is the outermost part of a sun. The name kinda fits the kingdom saved by the sun flower.

I discovered it in 2021 and revisited it a few weeks ago and boy, did i hyperfixate on this. Especially on cassandra to no one's surprise lmao. I love the pilot film and the series- the music is great- Allan Mencken and glen keane returned to do the music (mostly broadway style). there are a lot of broadway actors in this show- including the VA for Casandra. this is one of my favorite disney channel shows and as you watch the show pay attention to the characters voices you will recognize at least 2 of them from the hella-universe! (helluva boss/hazbin hotel)
