Benedict, despite being a second son with no title, has vast connections. His brother is a Viscount. One sister is married to a Duke while another is married to an Earl. Colin, though without title, is raising the next Lord Featherington and is the husband of Lady Whistledown. Everyone will want a piece of Benedict pie. Makes sense why Rosamund (and likely at the urging of her mom) will try to go after him.

@@cameronsilas that's because Netflix/Shondaland are re-writing history. I prefer old-style BBC productions which tended to be loyal both to the period and the original source.

They are in the business of making fiction for entertainment, they're not trying to "re-write" history. Queen Charlotte being black in the show does not change history, it does not change the fact that Queen Charlotte was actually white
