Exactly the same, R1250 GSA brand new March 2021, A41 front done after 3000 miles. Switched to Pilot Road 5's now on 12k and still a good few thousand in the front and rear. Just buying new GS next week and already booked in for new tyres to replace the A41's.

The tyre hasn’t squared off, you’ve worn the sides off so the tyre has lost it’s rounded profile, the description of falling into turns is classic symptom of this. You said yourself that they were really grippy, well that comes at a price. Wear. Out of balance shows up in the vertical plane so left, right oscillation is indicative of the tyre being worn at the shoulders. It basically falls either side of the centre hence the oscillation. They are not falling apart either, just graining and normal of a hard working grippy tyre. There is nothing wrong with the A41, it’s just doesn’t have the longevity you’re needing.

You're 100% correct guys the Bridgestone fronts don't wear well. I have them on my new to me gsa R1250 that has only done 1500 miles from new and the front is already worn and the rubber is degrading on the sides. Going to get shut next week for the Dunlop Mutants

You've gone the right way, chaps. If you´re rolling on mainland European tarmac you can't go wrong with Michelins, nothing beats those for safety on all sorts of weather. I am partial to Continental TKC70 but I stay away from motorways and do value a little bit of dirt roads on my sunday ride.

I'm here in Australia and the previous owner fitted a set off these heaps of crap on my 2017 BMW R1200GS Rallye. (I've been riding road and adventure bikes for well over 45 years) Now I've never been a fan of ANY Bridgestone bike tyres, and I've also never had a bike with telli lever suspension either. So I thought my issues were due to me not being compatible yet with the telli lever. Now I've completed a mere 6000klm on the bike, my front tyre is MUCH worse than yours is, as its already down to the wear limiters on the RHS but very little wear on the LHS of the tyre. Same as you , my bike constantly checks the tyre pressures and its always been correct. (2.5Bar front 2.9Bar rear as per BMW) The bike instils total horror in me at the sight of ANY corner due to its total lack of stability and confidence, but on my T700 with moto x tyres I can scrape its pegs on almost any corner I please. So this "BAD BATCH" SEEMS TO BE WORLD WIDE. My rear tyre is wearing as expected from a Touring/Adventure tyre showing very little wear at all. It has only the slightest flat spot on the top of the tyre as expected. I am in a group of over 9,000 fellow motorcyclist and some of them have already witnessed my front tyre, and this issue WILL be sent throughout our group. Bridgestone you need to do MUCH better than this! My new tyres with be either Michelin Road 6GT or Metzler Road 1's but its very hard as I am a very poor pensioner with disabilities.

The A41 is supposed to be the same as a T31 but with just a different tread pattern ,I think not .I had them on my crossrunner and no issues at all apart from they wore out too quick .I've since had 2 sets on my niken and my fronts went exactly like yours horrible to ride .I have had Michelin fronts ware in the same manner but that was towards the end of there life and at 8500 miles.I won't buy Bridgestone A41 again .

Triangulation due to dual compound sports touring construction. Some Pirellis do this too. Its not a new issue with dual compound road touring tyres. Heavy bikes exacerbate it. Bridgestone T30 (muliple sets on a Bandit 12) did exactly the same until swapped for Pirelli Diabolos. I had A41 and got approx 18000km on a Vstrom 1050xt before swapping out at the wear bar, yes there was triangulation. I am just swapping out Pirelli Scorpion 2 tomorrow after 16300km (for Bridgestone AT41), and yes there is triangulation on the dual compound. mebbee 2000 km till the wear bar If you want to avoid it, make an informed choice and buy single compound sports tyres. You will pay in reduced mileage though. Ive been riding since the late 1970s, and have ridden a great variety of tyres in my time, subsequently I wouldn't complain about today's tyre offerings, just make better choices. We are spoiled with modern bikes and tyres, jmho.

I bought a 2021 Ninja 1000sx which sing about having the latest Bridgestone S22's on. I had the same issue. Initially they were amazing. 3000 miles in and the bike just felt wierd. My front was the same as yours with that triangle shape to it bit the rear was just worn in the centre. I switched to Michelin Road 5's and its a completely different bike to ride. I've not known anyone else have this issue. Its clearly a Bridgestone thing and not just an A41 or Adventure tyre issue. As you said, I wouldn't buy a bike with Bridgestone's on. I have Bridgestone's on my car and even they are crap/

Most front tyres I've had have had the same wear as that, especially when riding hard and braking hard. My original metzeler tourance next on a tiger 900 gt pro was probably the worst, and sketchy in the wet, and was toast by 9000km. In fact the bridgestone A41 I changed to on the tiger wore very evenly and was very stable. The side wall seem quite stiff, so once I softened the damping it rode sweet and predictable. Extremely stable on fast sweepers. Tried some continental trail attack 3's and tkc 70's but missed the stability of the A41's.

Eleven months ago, I purchased a very low mileage R1250GS (a former BMW machine), which despite its low mileage came with a brand new set of Bridgestone Battlax A41 tyres. Checking my bike over recently prior to a 2,000+ mile trip to Spain, I discovered the front tyre showed significant/premature signs of wear (1,900 from new). Subsequent to this I viewed your video outlining much the same issue with Toby’s GSA. To be fair the rear A41 is still looking good, but I have substantial concerns about the longevity of the front tyre on my bike, and I don’t need to be worrying about changing my front tyre during the course of my Spanish trip. This is my fourth BMW GS, on which I’ve always chosen to run Michelin Pilot Roads, and have been more than happy with. Bottom line is, gone with the Battlax A41 on the front, and in with the Michelin Road 6. In the fullness of time the rear will be replaced with Road 6, but in the meantime I’ll feel far more confident running a Road 6 rather than a Battlax A41. Is this a major issue for Bridgestone, or is the Battlax A41 simply not suitable for the BMW R1250GS? Answers please...

Go to michellin road six in the rain but that looks like you got some good summer riding and you like to trailbreak every corner. So perhaps pirelli rossos would be best as they give you a V profile which increases trail entry grip and loading of tire contact patch up front. Also on exit the rear works the same when loading up upon acceleration while leaned over optimizing exit grip. The big downside is that the life of the tire is compromised especially if you do any straight long rides. But judging from your tire wear you love punching through the corners.

Having spoken to some other GS riders in my club, they all had the same issue with the front wearing quicker than the rear. I didn't mind the handling though, which I thought was good. Just didn't like the way they had worn at the front. However, I changed them to Michelin Road Pilot 6 and they are superb, way better than the A41s but I appreciate tyres are a personal choice and they're all pretty good these days. On the blade I’ve switched to Angel GT 2s and gs anakee adv. The Angel GT have more than 10k clicks on them. They tend to lose air but still round, despite riding in cold wet and winter weather. Anakees have just 1k kms on then. Can’t judge. Had the S21 s before the t32. They are good but not suited for really cold and wet. I believe that Bridgestone has a problem with dual compound tires.

My Bridgestone A41's were like that and I had several sets so I don't think it is a bad batch, like you rears were fine. But even worse were my 2018 Triumph Tiger 1200's standard Metzeler Tourance Next. They wore trapezoidal like your A41 but were so incredibly noisy after only 300km from new, they gave me a mad headache. It was like riding with a shagged front wheel bearing. It was so bad I had them sent back to Pirellli (Metzeler brand owner) for examination convinced there was something wrong. They told me it was my driving style? That was the last time I purchased Metzeler.

My Bridgestone Battleax A40 front started vibrating badly at around 4600 miles use. A40 rear squared off really quickly between 3500 and 4500 miles use too, wasn't on motorways much then either. Still plenty of tread depth on both but it feels like I'm riding off a ledge atm when leaning over. I think the front is possibly mis-shapen even though it feels like a balancing issue. Still, 4600 is a LOT more miles than i got out of the Mitas E09's I stuck on for some off roading in June, but that's another story of woe enTYREly. Something is definitely amiss at Bridgestone guys! Thanks for highlighting this issue 👏✌👍👍

The only issue I could imagine would be one of the front forks either adjusted differently from the other side or fork oil loss or if forks have had new oil perhaps the levels were different. If you dropped the bike at some time the forks may need realigning. I have just ordered a pair of T31's. Only because the price of roadtec 01 have rocketed up from £270.00 last year to 366.00 this year. Bloody Ripp off. I just paid £281.00 for the T31's. And I am now slightly pannicking. The problem nowadays is that manufacturer's tend to baffle us with bullshit spray rather than just using more rubber, tread and steel. Well guys keep up the good work. 🧐🤔☢️👍👍👍

I bought my 1250 GS in January and a new front A41 was fitted at the time. The rear was fine so only the front was changed. 2500 miles later the front was done, but I still had plenty of life in the rear. Didn’t get the same uneven wear, but I went to road 6 which are fine so far after about 2500 miles.

Aside from your rational complaints and arguments, you somehow have achieved to make a B&B grade disturbingly annoying video, I really had hard time to keep up with the issue :) And also, thanks for ruining the last remaining preference for the candidates for my new tires at this point :) According to my 2-day research concerning user experiences on the web, there is no dependable tire to be bought in 2023... Road 6s pull to the left, A41s wear unevenly, Anakees were already rubbish, T32s are no where to be found.

I don’t know why you’re moaning. The front tyre I would say has not squared off but has worn the shoulders off. Have you had good side grip? Grip usually comes at the cost of wear so maybe it’s just a perspective issue rather than a tyre issue?

The reason we said what we said is that there is a massive problem with the front tyre of A41 on the Bmw gsa. Documented around the whole of Europe and is not good at all. As we said on the vidoe

@@RiderCamTV you got 5300 miles out of a grippy tyre on a heavy bike. I’ve worked for Dunlop Motorsport in the Moto2 paddock, Thundersport and a Ducati dealer and I think your comments are a bit off. There’s plenty to go at here so I’d love to chat with you 👍

Some interesting comments on here. And, I agree with you, to some extent. To be honest, as I said in a previous comment, I've only done 3000 miles on mine so far and they're fine. Maybe, I'm wrong, but lets face GSs are a big lump, so those fronts are going to take some punishment. Ok, mich 6s are better, possibly. As for one side wearing more than the other, you see that all the time, partly due to the chamber of the road. Is anyone surprised they only get a few ,000 out of a dual compound tyre. I'm not. ( just my personal views ) clearly a lot are not happy 😂

A friend & I both and A41's on GSA's from new both fronts worn with squared off & edges chewed within 6k. This is really poor. I changed to Road Pilot 6's as I won't be going off road, what a difference they have made. We brought the issue up with the dealer who could not care less if they tried.

FWIW I've just replaced a set of Bridgestone T31s at 9,500miles,the front had 2mm in the centre increasing to 4 to 5mm on the shoulders which I could've nursed another 1000miles out of but decide to change both, the rear had 1mm centre with a couple of small cuts, and 4mm on the shoulders. They were squared off due to me riding 35% m/ways. I've replaced them with the same due to their great handling charachteristics and surefootness, very happy with these tyres.

I had the same on my 2018 1200GSA. 2019 trip returning from the Alps and front was awful. Wandering and vibes through the bars, but the rear was still fine. So at 5500 miles both came off and replaced with Conti Trail Attack 3.

When I used to read Motorcycle Mechanics magazine, in about 1969 they reviewed a Bridgestone motorcycle fitted with Bridgestone tyres. They suggested the first thing you did was throw away the tyres and replace them. Just saying.

BMW should be concerned about supplying bikes with OEM tyres that are potentially dangerous, let alone fast wearing. Perhaps they might be invited to respond….

It appears like a dual compound tire. High wear resistance in the centre, high grip on the sides. If you ride long distances on boring bitumen the centre section will wear at the same same rate. As to why one side wore quicker... your bike must bent 🤪
