It's nice to rebuild when you have the free time, but if I've already bought a POS lawnmower, then I'll just jack up the price for it to cover the $10 carb and the new carb will be a good selling point. Rebuild the carb later and save it for the next time. If you want to make money then time is a factor. If you can't rebuild the carb, then the broken mower clutters up your shop until the new carb comes in. I just prefer a sure thing to a yard full of broken mowers. LOL

You are a man after my own heart! Some carbs like being rebuilt, some don't. These old bowl carbs are often plagued with leaks when you rebuild them because it's hard to find a needle that works with a worn seat or the bowl has been banged up by someone hitting the carb when the needle sticks.
