The Tale of 10,000 Cities proudly brings you the tale of Mariposa, California. This town located on the south end of the Mother Lode was built on gold, but stays alive today due to it's strong community and connection to it's history. When you think of the old west, you think of Mariposa, and there's no mistake why it ended up being our longest video to date.
Join us as Carol E. Dewey hosts us at the Wisteria Arbors. Susan Posey welcomes us to the Sugar Pine Cafe and Travis Medlock and Melissa Takahashi feed us at Little Shop of Ramen. We visit the courthouse, the old jail, the farmer's market, and St. Joseph's church. Layla Meadows presents to us Mountain Fitness. We join Teresa Gross at Mariposa Shirts & Stuff and Miranda Fengel at Mariposa Museum & History Center Inc. Rowena Lubo and her husband Mark Garrett both speak to us about the importance of keeping your mind healthy and the safety of controlled burns and how it can prevent fires like the Creek Fire, and finally Jake Wackerman and Hanna Wackerman present 1850 Restaurant & Brewing Company with fantastic food and behind the scenes looks at the brewery.
This will be the longest episode in Season 1 of The Tale of 10,000 Cities but for the county seat of what used to be the biggest county in California, there's a reason we needed to tell this story in the proper way and you'd be crazy to miss this one.
