Instead of being so quick to naysay that which you either dont understand or have never heard of before (contempt before investigation...the height of ignorance) what if you tried a few of these of these suggestions? Salt scrubs are used all over the world for revitalization of the body. Gargling with warm salt water helps with sore throats and swollen gums. Clean your cast iron pans with lemon and salt paste. How do you know placing salt in corners of your home wont clear out the negative energies? When you're close to the ocean, you get a different feeling bcs of the negative ions in the air, what makes you think this would be that much different? And why would God be displeased to see you using all the tools HE has given us to enhance our lives? My God, the God I love and the one that loves me back, is a loving God. He wants me to be happy, not fearful or scared. So learning new information, even about salt is interesting and not something to put a label on and run from.

oh...salt and lemon.... a super handy combination for anyone that uses copper in the kitchen. I was introduced years ago to copper egg bowls, for beating egg whites. The bowls can be expensive and do tarnish... as any copper clad pans will do also. Instead of copper polishes, I have found the salt and lemon to be much cheaper and faster... and all natural! Cut a lemon in half and generally squeeze out the juice. Sprinkle a little salt.... then use the remaining parts of the lemon for the scrubbing, inside of the lemon as the scrubbing surface... add more salt as needed....but not TOO much at a time or you will scratch the surfaces. On a side note: NEVER serve lemonade from a copper pitcher. A lovely friend of mine once served lemonade at an event, thinking it would make a nice presentation.... and then had a dozen kids throwing up because of what happened to the lemonade because of the chemical reaction going on between the acid in the lemon juice and the copper.

Money is NOT evil. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.
@GrimHovelStudios7 жыл бұрын
voxac30withstrat - Actually, the correct quotation is "The want of money is the root of all evil" - and of course the word 'want' in this context means 'lack', not 'desire'. So not having any money is the root of all evil: which, as Tao Yanbao points out, is not the whole story. Also, I assume from your username that you have a Fender Strat and a Vox AC30 combo. I'm thinking you've replaced a love of money with a love of classic guitars and amps!
@rsanchez63757 жыл бұрын

Most 'witchcraft' is based on practical needs in medieval times ... If you look at all the herbs & oils, and natural minerals that we favour today, they came from what was once considered witch magic ... but was in fact what was provided by God when the earth was originally formed, no matter which way you choose to consider it, in 6 days or scientific evolution ...
@-heathen-36227 жыл бұрын
provided by god huh? which one? don't you think it's more realistic that "witcraft" come from a prehistoric knowledge of medicinal uses of plants that humans picked up over millennia of primitive hunter-gatherer societies and dealing with said plants and berries on a day to day basis, then used by medicine men as primitive chemists, rather than some ethereal sky daddy passing the knowledge on to us?

Gargling or irrigating your sinuses with salted water is a good way to help treat a sore throat or prevent or treat sinus, URTI and throat infections. It's not a 100% guarantee, but it does help. As to soaking your feet, I find a tub of water with about a third of a cup of white vinegar added to it is great. It's also fantastic for helping those with foot odour problems and for exfoliating your feet. The dead skin is effectively softened and very easy to take off with a rough pumice meant for use on wet skin, a loofah or some other tool that's approved for use on wet skin.

Forget the salt. Just burn white sage. It’s just as easy and has the added benefit of no grainy stuff under your feet. Personally, I think it works better. For added cleansing, you can spray around your doors and windows with salt water. It really will change the atmosphere in your home. Especially useful if living with someone who’s negative or where there’s a lot of arguing and discord.

Sheila Karch That stuff works for you, and that's fine, but it's just ritual and mysticism. Magic is not real in a physical sense, and if there are any higher powers with any focus on people, they don't interfere nor come when called. I'm not saying that no higher power exists, just that they did their thing creating reality, and then they seem to have ghosted. And if you were a higher power, would you really choose to communicate with a burning bush, a scroll written by sexist flawed men, a conqueror or some guy meditating somewhere? Why not just instill knowledge in every living person when they are born that you created it all? It's all kind of ridiculous, I'm no atheist...in fact I'm loosely catholic...but our rituals...like yours...only work based on personal belief. Burning stanky stuff all over your shared domicile is just rude. I hope you allowed them to pick a time when they didn't have to be home, cuz it's your religion...not necessarily theirs and I don't want any smoke in my lungs...not even white sage smoke.

William Brown my domicile is shared with my husband and he encourages me to cleanse our home on a regular basis. My children do the same when they move into a new space. Burning sage to purify a space is a ritual passed down from my ancestors. I’m also a medium that speaks to those who have died, and I regularly cleanse other people’s homes of negative activity and help spirits cross over to the next part of their journey. Whether you believe in that or not doesn’t matter to me; I’m not going to try to change your opinion. It’s just my life and what I do. Have a blessed day!

Salts are powerful , especially sea Salts, Himalayas Salts and some other natural salts. Modern people think it is a superstition but actually the ancient people had their own time tested wisdom about the be befits of salts. They knew that salts are good for balancing energies in the atmosphere. Modern science refers to it as balancing positive and negative ions. Also, salt exist in human body too. Too much of it or too less of it is not good. That's why so many modern medicines contain various amounts of chemical salt to treat certain diseases. Salt is an essential part of our lives. Without salt life will be dull and tasteless. 😆

nani?!?!?!?!?, what do you mean by "balancing energies in the atmosphere", you cant just use salt to create any type of energy, if that was the case, we would use salt power all our devices, also you cant just modify the atmosphere of a place, we are talking about the gasses that make up our planet's atmosphere. btw our bodies and animals use salt to balance the ph of the body, to keep a balance of fluid levels and many more functions

John Chinedu It’s funny how all Biblical characters have their roots in old pagan gods and believes and are adopted by Emperor Constantin who was a pagan who became christian, the only reason he did that is because everything pagan now has christian names, God and the son of god and all other gods and goddesses worshipping by our ancestors we still do today so it’s funny how all this people don’t even know that... all the saints that we call saints are actually lesser pagan gods with different names.... there are ppl who study Bible and all other ancient religions and gods and it’s how they’ve noticed similarities between them so Bible based on pagan believes... we may not want to accept it because we are to afraid to do so but it is the truth....

while it is true that adding salt to ice may melt it by lowering the freezing temp of the water, be careful about this method if it is near soil where you want to be growing anything. Sand is also helpful, not by melting the ice but by helping with traction. Unfortunately, BOTH are likely to be tracked indoors to damage carpets and other flooring.

Belief is the most powerful thing in the universe, if you really believe that something will happen like it already has happened then it probably will, which is also the basis of the law of attraction, if you really believe that salt will protect you then it probably will, just like if you really believe it is a lot of nonsense then it also is. Just like if you believe walking under a ladder brings bad luck it probably will, this is also why if you are always negative negativity will follow you and if you are always positive you will have a much better life. Just like if you believe what I am saying is a lot of nonsense then it will be for you. Your life your choice, have a good day.

The mind is a powerful thing, and a mental attitude can affect how you feel but it cannot cure most diseases. People who have "believed" and sought "alternative medicine" have usually died when perhaps surgery or certain medicines (drugs) or chemo or radiation therapy may have helped them to at least live longer. Placebos (fake medicines like sugar pills or vitamin and sugar pill combinations) are used all the time in medicine and CAN help in certain instances but not in the case of diagnosed, incurable diseases.

the superstitious belief that salt is magic comes from the ancient belief that evil spirits were the root cause for all decay and sickness. Meat spoiled due to evil spirits, but when you cure meat with salt it is preserved. So ancient people believed that salt had magical properties. But salt kills bacteria because of a science principle you learned about in chemistry or biology. Diffusion! Concentrations in solution going from high to low. Simply put its why cured meat takes longer to spoil, you don't find as much bacteria in a pickle jar, and your doctor tells you to gargle with salt water. Not magic! Geez what century are we living in. Put salt in the corner of you rooms and you will just have a messy corner in your room!
@jansimms82926 жыл бұрын
Jerry Guzman .... WELL SAID DEAR .... but may I remind u .. that superstition and witchcraft WERE SCIENCE ... before there EVER WAS anything to be CALLED Science ...... and MANY of our modern CURES .. were derived from the "potions" that our forebearers had created thru CLOSE observation of nature .. and the reaction of animals .. (as WELL as ppl) .. to various plants and/or minerals such as salt ...... USING their BEST "self-educated" guesses .. observation .. rituals .. and prayers ..... to HEAL their patients ... down thru the ages .... if NOT for ALL of the "hocus pocus" .. that DID WORK and was passed DOWN thru the centuries ..... we would NOT have modern medicine .. like we do TODAY ..... and our ancestors deserve our THANKS for persevering in the FACE of SO MUCH FEAR and HATRED ... without them ... we wouldn't HAVE modern science ... how SAD ... Peace and Blessings for u dear ... KEEP an open mind .. and KEEP LEARNING ... 😊😊😊😊
