I think it's important context with the Jay z and Drake comparison that when Char says that Jay put on more artists and invested into their careers like Kanye and Rihanna etc.. Jay was around the same age as Drake is now. Drake just hasn't really transitioned into that phase of his career yet. It's very likely that Drake starts stepping back from the rap game a bit and more into the CEO role in the coming years. This comparison will be more fun to look at when drake is in his 50's.

Scottie Pippen scored 6pts & 8pts in Game 5 & 6 of the 98 Finals. After missing half the season because he CHOSE to get surgery right before the season. Jordan dropped 45 in Game 6 of that finals, 16 pts in the 4th quarter and hit the game winning shot. Thats why he's great. Cause even when his teammates don't show up, Jordan finds a way to win. LeBron needs everything to go right. He rarely wins when his team plays bad. I don't recall many games he won when AD, Kyrie or D-Wade don't play well.

Jay is your average person over 30’s favorite rapper. They either say Jay Z, Lil Wayne or Eminem. You’re making it sound like Jay is Jadakiss or something. Nothing he says is on another wavelength. He’s just a good rapper who makes great music. But for Jay Stans that won’t be enough. He has to be ‘on another wavelength that you just don’t understand’ to make them feel better about people turning on Jay since he revealed himself to be a snake.

JAY is the only rapper I can listen to without it being unbearable, his charisma different, theirs a reason Biggie himself vouched for him & why Wayne classes him as his favourite rapper, his catalogue different, flow different, countless hits, his status and his pockets don’t lie, he’s the richest man in music for a reason, from reasonable doubt, blueprint, hardknock life, the black album, classics after classics, then his artistry aside, the countless songs he dropped a verse on that went straight to number 1, from crazy in love, to umbrella, to writing Dr Dre’s biggest hit (Still DRE) even his feature verses are better than a lot of rappers full songs 😂 then you factor in his hustle, his financial wisdom, his eye for talent and giving the world solo Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye, Jcole etc. Then the accolades of being inducted in the Hall of fame, most Grammys won by any rapper tied with Kanye, sold out stadiums, headlining Glastonbury, turning down the Super Bowl, Cuffing someone like Beyoncé, how he’s tripled his worth, sorry but Drake ain’t ever coming close that level. It’s actually insulting to even compare them. 😂
@QMS9224 Жыл бұрын
The question was who is more influential in 2023 not who is better/talented. It’s drake, nobody under 30 really cares about Jay and more people under 25 barely know his music. Hov had waves but it was also split In the beginning we can't lie about that but jay-z also never died off he was masterful. Drake also moves strategic and never shys from battles. This shit kind of similar with very minimal differences damn never seen it like that they both were extremely impactful to music hove had more meaningful verses too Drake set the vibes and touch an important fan base the women!
