AND ANOTHER THING! A HUGE reason why Adeleine is such a perfect candidate to bake into the Kirby regulars is because she benefits from whatever "theme" the game is going for more than any other character. Forgotten Land's primal theming? She gets an interest in carving, in cave drawings. Robobot's futuristic themes? She uses some weird-ass Dreams like 3D painting photoshop thing. Triple Deluxe's floral theme? GUESS WHO JUST GOT INTO PRESSING FLOWERS!!! The tie in of "Ok what kind of artwork fits our game" is EFFORTLESS, making Adeleine an easy way to further embellish whatever the current Kirby game is going for! As for other ways to flesh her out further, I don't think the series needs to go that far with explaining what the heck humans and The Ancients are, if they are the same thing, I think a huge part of the fun of Kirby is that those avenues are left for interpretation. I just want... I dunno, 20% more than what we have now, ya know? Just a hint of "Yes, she's the only human, and yes that is weird, there's something unnatural about that because of these two scenes, let your imagination go crazy!" Past that I want her, and really any other side Kirby character (The series really should use them more, they're fun designs!), to just have a fun interaction or two to slowly build their personalities and stories. A Dedede saving a Waddle Dee here, a Metaknight coming to Kirby's aid there, just give a few of those moments to other characters too and I'll be pleased as punch. I don't think Ribbon is entirely necessary, she's more grounded to Ripple Star's lore while Adeleine/Ado is an easier character to just insert into any setting, but if we did want to use Ribbon, I'd make her the Mail Toad of the games. She brings messages from other Kirby characters to let the player know how they are doing. Maybe have a cute little tie in to Adeleine where she also delivers her artwork to buyers or something, that could have some adorable interconnection of all the Kirby characters sending drawings instead of letters, THAT would be adorable!

I think what’s funny about this is that Adeleine IS homaged in robobot, the games second boss Holo defense API is basically an Adeleine fight right down to using Kracko and Ice dragon and also having her infamous 1 HP, I kind of wish that much like Meta knight, Adeleine was captured by the HWC and used as some sort of Dream generator to create the API’s holograms only for Kirby to rescue her from that at the end of the fight it would be a nice cameo but also reinforcing the threat that the HWC holds much like how Meta was converted into a cyborg and Dedede was captured and Cloned, Adeleine is just seen as an object to the company rather than a person. Also with Ribbon she kind of suffers a lot from being tethered to characters, and deserves a chance to shine on her own. I think it would be cool if they gave her some sort of adventure on Ripple star mirroring one of Kirby’s it would be a neat way to have her be an actual character and not just a fairy backpack.

I think it would be funny if Adeleine didn't know she was a human. None of the characters have seen one, so they just talk about humans like they're these monsters, and Adeleine is right there with them. Plus it would really play into the power of friendship themes, since the gang would accept her no matter what, even if humans are the bad guys.

THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS! Everywhere I go online, I always use Adeleine as my mascot, even long after I distanced myself from the Kirby fanbase. All of my friends, when they think of me, they think of Adeleine. Whenever they see Adeleine, they instantly think of me. Hell, I was once in a discord server where people referred to me as Adeleine. Even my SO, who knows literally nothing about Kirby and most other video games, knows who Adeleine is, simply due to the love and passion i have for the character. Adeleine is a character that I hold near and dear to my heart, and the fact that she’s become an intrinsic part of who I am and how i’m perceived is emblematic of that. I’d absolutely LOVE to see her come back in some way, especially as a new main character, and I’m really happy to see other people who share that passion. Great Video!!

How you feel about Ado is basically me with Gooey. It is criminal that he's only been in 2 games before Star Allies. He's so fun. A member of the Dark Matter Forces who was influenced by Kirby's immaculate vibes to become this chaotic neutral entity that ties Kirby and Dark Matter together way before Star Allies went ham with it. Ever since I played KD3, I thought it would've been cool for Gooey to be Kirby's player 2. He'd have Kirby's copy abilities but wit his own twist like how he uses parasol in Star Allies for example. I just....I love him and his stupid googly eyes so much. I don't think he'd work on a team (specifically talking about the Return quartet) but if it was just him and Kirby like say in Forgotten Land if he was P2 istead of Bandana Dee, I feel like that could work great. Bring my special blue boy back.

It would be cool to see Adeline in the Forgotten Lands setting, discovering her ancestors' fate and perhaps giving more lore as to where she originated. Is her family still out there? Is humanity still kicking somewhere, giving the bird to whatever malicious force is wreaking havoc? It's dark themes like this that really make the Kirby universe interesting with its disturbing themeing covered with a bright facsimile oblivious to it.

I always thought Adeleine was interesting. Between Shiver Star, her appearance in the Kirby Time books, and her presence alone, she feels like there's some kind of sadness in the background of her character, almost like there's something deeper in her character that the Kirby franchise feels too simple and cheery to delve into. Then I remember Taranza. In the course of two appearances, and a single entry in the Kirby Time books, a full arc was painted about losing someone he loves, grieving her loss, then finding happiness in the simple, kind people around him who still care for him, despite hardly knowing the guy. Adeleine is a young character, and one who probably hasn't processed what happened to the rest of her people, the last of the human ancients seemingly dead by way of Shiver Star's freezing. But there's some implication that she knows. And that's _tragic._ I've always thought that, since she arrived on Popstar to study art, she learned her ability to create life from paintings from the very painter who created the likes of Drawcia and Paintra. A way to pass on the artist's legacy to a new generation before they died. She arrives in Lollipop Land, visits the studio, learns her craft, and moves on when she finds the studio empty one day. Finding her way down to the world below somehow. It could be a way to tie Adeleine to other characters, and bring her back into lore relevance. But... that doesn't NEED to happen. She's already pretty important as is, from the fact that she's human alone.

You should check out the Brawl in the Family webcomic, it has 600 comics of fun Nintendo jokes and content, and while there's more than just kirby stuff, especially later on, Adeline is a part of the Kirby crew from basically the beginning, along with Meta Knight Dedede and Waddle Dee. Plus it's just really entertaining :)

I think there's a ton of untapped potential with her entirely BECAUSE there are artist enemies! The fact that there is a magic paintbrush in lore entirely separate from Adeleine, and the fact that so many 'soul' enemies end up using a paint-based attack, to say nothing of Drawcia, Claycia, and the third one being shown as from other dimensions in general, creates a ton of potential just on Adeleine's existence! As long as she eventually gets some form of payoff, I like the place she's in, as she is absolutely bursting with possibilities as someone unwittingly tapping into the power of creativity unchained, and that's real cool! Just please don't make it a Curse game, they're cool thematically but I don't like playing them and what Canvas Curse did to its soundtrack is a crime.

Kirby and the forgotten land's biggest missed opportunity had to be Adeline not appearing in any form. She could have shown up in various levels, drawing the scenery and interacting with kirby, occasionally commenting on how familliar the places she's at feel, and not knowing why. Later revealing [both to us and herself] that she was present for Fecto Elfilis' initial invasion and got sent forward in time and space somehow and ended up in Dreamland. That I feel woulda been a cool twist!

YESSSSS!! THE ADELEINE VIDEO!! Adeleine is a GREAT Kirby character who should definitely show up more often (in ANY capacity, though main cast line-up would be nice) - she just jives so well with the other characters and has a cool ability, while not overshadowing main title characters (essentially the equal of Bandanna Dee but painter instead of master spear-wielder) I also think that it would be super cute to have these charming interactions with my favorite Kirby character - she could be super welcoming and friendly while he is very tsundere, being aggressive and edgy (I'll leave you to guess who that is...😉) Overall, great video (and one that I have personally been looking forward to for quite a bit)!

You know adeleine is slowly becoming my favorite Nintendo character in general let alone the best Kirby character for how awesome, cute, relatable, inspiring and obscure she is. I really want a sub game dedicated to her origins like what hal did for magolor in return to dreamland deluxe. I wanna see how ado from dreamland 3 became the N64 version of adeleine. Also I've been thinking about a cool concept for a Kirby game with the plot of "it's a wonderful life" where Kirby's star allies and enemies could have massive spotlight and playable moments like if Kirby wasn't there or if he's kidnapped. I'm hoping we get more of her in general cuz I probably love her to pieces more than you do. I might even be one of her top 5 fans I love her that much ❤

Pretty sure you answered your own questions. Adeleine doesn't get used because of her unclear connections to the ancients. If adeline was in forgotten land either they'd half to have Adeleine not acknowledge anything, or they'd have to have Adeleine drop the entire lore at the beginning of the game, both bad writting choices. Kirby lore did confirm that the forgotten land's inhabitants were humans, but not in game, but through a random twitter post on a mysterious person that showed up in the kirby anniversary music stream Also Adeleine hasn't even spoken in a game as of yet.

FINALLY another missing in action video (she has three now so thanks man) although it's nice that someone like you talked about her i myself did not know that she exist and now look at me she is one of my favorites next to meta knight taranza and the three mage sisters and king dedede. but yeah adeleine is very underused which is very sad also man don't you like adeleine A LOT (can't blame you because your right but something i noticed) i would feel like she needs to get what magolor got in return to dreamland deluxe her own mode telling the how and the why she is the last human and how did she manged to get out of earth and to planet pop star. Also this year adeleine did have a big role at least in the kirby story time videos that came out in feb 14 and stuff like the kirby guardains by kimiomega (while yes she's way different and way older) still have her being in a big role and magcial friends comics (these are all fan made versions of adeleine tho but they are still nice and amazing) also being the last human in the kirby got me hook to see how that happened and made me like adeleine even more and yes it hurts when she is not in the kirby games i like the return to dreamland characters but 64 is the definition of PEAK and amazing characters and groups there's so many things to explore about adeleine but yet so little done other than why she was not in pop star for 18 YEARS! overall she is the greatest character to exist in kirby and i can die on the hill and still say she's the greatest but this video said pretty much everything why adeleine should be used more

Part of me wants her to be playable again, but the other part recognizes that'd mean focusing the story on her and my child has been through enough! Make both magolor and adeleine main stay characters Magolor fits as the ranged fighter and is a good minigame host. Adeleine could be the art gallery character. Both can be possessed for extra boss fights to give dedede a break, Both are unique enough from the rest of the cast, And both are very prominent already of their era's. ( Adeleine in the dark matter trilogy, magolor in the modern era with return to dreamland, fighter's 2 deluxe, both team kirby clash game's, )

Bandana Waddle Dee it's simply the most CRIMINALLY OVERRATED playable character of Kirby's cast. His role could be replaced by any other DeDeDe minion and differences will be minimum. Adeleine, in other hand, has the potential of having her own spin-off series just because with the fact of her being a human in Kirby's universe. Possibilities are unlimited...
